Conserved binding mode but diverse interfaces of MreC‐PBP2 interactions
FEBS Letters, EarlyView.The crystal structure of abMreC reveals a conserved two β‐barrel architecture and provides structural insights into its role within the bacterial elongasome. The abMreC–abPBP2 complex model identifies the molecular basis of MreC‐mediated PBP2 recognition, contributing to the regulation of peptidoglycan synthesis.

The mth Gini index estimator: Unbiasedness for gamma populations
The Journal of Economic InequalityThis paper establishes the theoretical result that the sample $m$th Gini index is an unbiased estimator of the population $m$th Gini index, introduced by Gavilan-Ruiz (2024), for gamma-distributed populations. An illustrative Monte Carlo simulation study confirms the unbiasedness of the sample $m$th Gini index estimator in finite samples.
