Density and hazard rate estimation for censored and α-mixing data using gamma kernels [PDF]
In this paper, we consider the non-parametric estimation for a density and hazard rate function for right censored alpha-mixing survival time data using kernel smoothing techniques. As survival times are positive with potentially high concentration at zero, one has to take into account the bias problems when the functions are estimated in the boundary ...

Low‐voltage FIB‐SEM tomography combined with a image preprocessing pipeline improves phase contrast and enables reliable machine‐learning segmentation of conductive networks in lithium‐ion battery electrodes. Structural descriptors are extracted from segmented images, done semimanually and automated, and compared.

The adaptive gamma-BSPE kernel density estimation for nonnegative heavy-tailed data
In this work, we consider the nonparametric estimation of the probability density function for nonnegative heavy-tailed (HT) data. The objective is first to propose a new estimator that will combine two regions of observations (high and low density ...

Solutions of a number of integral single-core Volterra equations [PDF]
In this paper we study some different method for solving volterra integral equation with singular kernel of the first kind and expanded by using a method for finding the solution using Gamma function when f(x) is an algebraic function and α known.

Manufacturing problems such as heat treatment‐induced cracking hinder the widespread application of the laser powder bed fusion (LPBF) process to superalloys. In this study, cracks in the LPBF components of Inconel 738LC superalloy are characterized after heat treatment at various temperature ranges, revealing two distinct cracking behaviors.

Maximum kernel likelihood estimation [PDF]
We introduce an estimator for the population mean based on maximizing likelihoods formed by parameterizing a kernel density estimate. Due to these origins, we have dubbed the estimator the maximum kernel likelihood estimate (mkle). A speedy computational

Evaluation of LSSVM Model to Estimation of Evaporation and its Comparison with Empirical Models [PDF]
In this research, we used the meteorological parameters of Birjand Plain in South Khorasan Province during the 16-year period in order to evaluate the gamma test and to compare the accuracy of the model of least squares of the machine and experimental ...

This study examines Invar composites reinforced with titanium carbide (TiC) and titanium nitride (TiN) using laser powder bed fusion (LPBF). It presents the influence of reinforcements on microstructure, tensile properties, and thermal expansion. Results show that TiC effectively strengthens Invar while maintaining low thermal expansion, whereas TiN ...

On a multiple Hilbert-type integral inequality involving the upper limit functions
By applying the weight functions, the idea of introducing parameters and the technique of real analysis, a new multiple Hilbert-type integral inequality involving the upper limit functions is given.

Rapidly Solidified High‐Strength Invar 36 Prepared by Planar‐Flow Melt Spinning
The Invar 36 alloy was rapidly solidified using the planar‐flow melt‐spinning technique. Ribbon samples with thicknesses ranging from 20 to 160 mm were produced. As the grain size of the ribbon decreased to sub‐micron levels, the hardness increased by more than 2 times.
