Photoconductivity‐Driven Quantum Efficiency Gain in Inorganic Ruddlesden‐Popper Layered Cs2PbBr2I2 Perovskite Photodetector for Visible Light Detection

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Rational halogen mixing strategy was employed to shift the bandgap of Cs2PbBr2I2 from ultraviolet to visible region, enabling first realization of a visible‐light photodetector with this 2D layered Ruddlesden‐Popper perovskite material. Under illumination, light‐induced internal field forms and drives trap‐mediated persistent photoconductivity ...

Unraveling Fungal Radiation Resistance Regulatory Networks through the Genome-Wide Transcriptome and Genetic Analyses of Cryptococcus neoformans

open access: yesmBio, 2016
The basidiomycetous fungus Cryptococcus neoformans has been known to be highly radiation resistant and has been found in fatal radioactive environments such as the damaged nuclear reactor at Chernobyl. To elucidate the mechanisms underlying the radiation

Infrared Nanocrystals for Space Application: Hardness to Irradiations

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
This article investigates infrared HgTe nanocrystals under X‐ray and ion irradiation, revealing remarkable radiation hardness. It uncovers distinct degradation mechanisms and shows that the nanomaterial outperforms integrated electronics. The results position colloidal nanocrystals as promising candidates for resilient space and harsh‐environment ...

Fractionated Gamma Knife Radiation for Papillary Tumor of the Pineal Region: A Case Report and Literature Review

open access: yesClinical Case Reports
Papillary tumor of the pineal region (PTPR) is a rare central nervous system neoplasm with an unpredictable clinical course. Gross total resection, the preferred treatment, is often unachievable due to the tumor's deep‐seated location, necessitating ...

Cancellation of Infrared Divergences in Thermal QED

open access: yes, 1993
As a preliminary step, the radiation produced by a classical charged current coupled to a quantized $A_{\mu}$ is solved. To each order in $\alpha$, all infrared divergences cancel between the virtual $\gamma$'s and the real $\gamma$'s absorbed from the ...

Atomic‐Scale Light Coupling Control in Ultrathin Photonic Membranes

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Ultrathin photonic nanomembranes provide atomic‐scale control over the coupling between incident light and high‐Q photonic modes, enabling angstrom‐level resonance tuning and strong field confinement. When integrated with TMD monolayers, they further yield enhanced light–matter interactions, offering a versatile platform for advancing quantum photonics,

Coherent Control of Nitrogen Nuclear Spins via the VB−${\rm V}_B^-$‐Center in Hexagonal Boron Nitride

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
This study demonstrates coherent control of 15N nuclear spins coupled to VB−${\text{V}}_{\text{B}}^{-}$ centers in isotope‐enriched hexagonal boron nitride. Selective addressing via spin‐state mixing enables Rabi driving, quantum gates, and coherence times exceeding 10 μs$\umu{\rm s}$.

Conductance‐Dependent Photoresponse in a Dynamic SrTiO3 Memristor for Biorealistic Computing

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
A nanoscale SrTiO3 memristor is shown to exhibit dynamic synaptic behavior through the interaction of local electrical and global optical signals. Its photoresponse depends quantitatively on the conductance state, which evolves and decays over tunable timescales, enabling ultralow‐power, biorealistic learning mechanisms for advanced in‐memory and ...
