Ganglions and Ganglionic Neurons in the Cat's Larynx
Acta Oto-Laryngologica, 1993Localization, projections and role of ganglia and ganglionic neurons in the laryngeal framework were demonstrated in cats. Six to 8 large size ganglia containing 50 to 80 ganglionic neurons per ganglion in the paraglottic space, 4 to 6 small ganglia involving 5 to 25 cells in each ganglion dorsal to the posterior cricoarytenoid muscle, and 1 to 3 small

Ganglia rarely occur on the ankle. We report a case of a ganglion on the medial malleolus, originating from the sheaths of the flexor digitorum longus and tibialis posterior tendons, which posed a diagnostic dilemma for the patient's family physician, for her dermatologist, and for the orthopedic surgeon seen in consultation.

Abstract It is known that laser light scattered from small particles in Brownian motion is noisy. When locust ganglia are illuminated by laser light we find that the scattered light is particularly noisy and the ganglia appearing to twinkle in that light, when the bathing medium is K + -rich.

No data exists in the extant literature regarding the distal swelling of the posterior interosseous nerve (Acrel's ganglion). To further elucidate this ganglion, ten adult cadavers (20 sides) underwent dissection and histological examination of this structure. No inflammatory response was noted in these histologically normal peripheral nerve structures.

A 48-year-old man presented with pain in the right wrist. A roentgenogram showed symmetrically located, well-demarcated lucencies in both scaphoids. These lesions showed homogeneous intermediate signal intensity on T1-weighted MR images and homogeneous high signal intensity on T2*-weighted MR images.

A modified low-dose paratracheal approach to stellate ganglion block at the C6 level prevents the possible complications of subarachnoid introduction of large quantities of local anesthetic, brachial plexus block, and toxic reaction to local anesthetics. It is a technically simple procedure with readily identifiable landmarks and can be performed on an
