Hydrodynamic effects of hybrid nanofluid jet on the heat transfer augmentation
In industrial and energy systems, precise temperature control is indispensable. This study investigates the impact of hybrid nanofluids and certain jet hydrodynamic effects on enhancing the cooling efficiency on a heated copper surface.

Abstract It is now recognized that clonogenic tumour cells may repopulate vigorously during radiotherapy. Gaps in treatment schedules which lead to prolongation of overall treatment time may therefore cause sparing of tumour. Acute-responding normal tissues will also be spared if repopulation by surviving stem cells takes place. However,

Effects of topography, soil type and forest age on the frequency and size distribution of canopy gap disturbances in a tropical forest [PDF]
Treefall gaps are the major source of disturbance in most tropical forests. The frequency and size of these gaps have important implications for forest ecosystem processes as they can influence the functional trait distribution of tree communities, stand-

Topological phases in gapped edges of fractionalized systems [PDF]
Recently, it has been proposed that exotic one-dimensional phases can be realized by gapping out the edge states of a fractional topological insulator. The low-energy edge degrees of freedom are described by a chain of coupled parafermions. We introduce a classification scheme for the phases that can occur in parafermionic chains.

Canopy gap fraction estimation from ICESat-2 ATL08 product
With the increasing pressure on global forests due to deforestation and habitat loss, it is more important than ever to understand our forest ecosystems on a larger scale.

A Novel Remote Sensing-Based Modeling Approach for Maize Light Extinction Coefficient Determination
This study focused on developing a novel semi-empirical model for maize’s light extinction coefficient (kp) by integrating multiple remotely sensed vegetation features from several different remote sensing platforms.

Gap Problems for Integer Part and Fractional Part Sequences
Given a sequence of the form \(\{b_ n\}= \{n\alpha+ \gamma\): \(n\in \mathbb{Z}_ 0\}\) with modulus \(\alpha\geq 1\) and residue \(\gamma\) being real numbers, let \(S(\alpha, \gamma)= \{s_ n\}\) or \(\Omega (\alpha, \gamma)= \{\omega_ n\}\) be the sequences of integers, or fractional parts, resp. of terms of \(\{b_ n\}\).

Misestimation of gap fraction values by binarization algorithms.
For each algorithm, misestimation was quantified per photograph by dividing the estimated gap fraction of the algorithm () by the gap fraction estimated from manually classified reference pixels ().
