In an attempt to develop a rapid identification system for Gardnerella vaginalis that could be used in a clinical microbiologic laboratory, we examined 102 samples of vaginal discharge from women with symptoms of vaginitis. Gardnerella vaginalis was obtained from 77 of 102 cases.

Gardnerella vaginalis u cervikalnim infekcijama

Cilj ovog rada je prikazati učestalost i ulogu bakterije G.vaginalis u cervikalnim infekcijama žena generativne dobi. U razdoblju od listopada 2001. do ožujka 2002. pregledano je 1 357 cervikalnih obrisaka. G.vaginalis izolirana je kod 134 ispitnice. Samo je kod 82 ispitanice bila jedini izolat. G. vaginalis glavni je uzročnik bakterijske vaginoze.
