Dual Charge Transfer Mechanisms in Intimately Bonded S‐scheme Heterojunction Photocatalyst with Expeditious Activity toward Environmental Remediation

open access: yesAdvanced Sustainable Systems, EarlyView.
A novel MBOdCN S‐scheme heterojunction photocatalyst is fabricated using pristine Mg‐Bi2O3 and grayish g‐C3N4, where dynamic dual charge migration paths occur to accelerate exciton dissociation. This composite catalyst realizes high degradation efficiency of up to 99.56% of oxytetracycline (OTC) removal under optimized conditions. The material exhibits

Adenosine Monophosphate Improves Lipolysis in Obese Mice by Reducing DNA Methylation via ADORA2A Activation by Ecto‐5′‐Nucleotidase (CD73)

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
In this study, the improvement effect of AMP on obesity can be attributed to the conversion of extracellular AMP to ADO through ADORA2A activation by CD73, which can promote lipolysis by reducing DNA methylation level and enhancing HSL gene transcription. These findings show the great potential of AMP in improving obesity.

Fc Proteoforms of ACPA IgG Discriminate Autoimmune Responses in Plasma and Synovial Fluid of Rheumatoid Arthritis Patients and Associate with Disease Activity

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Rheumatoid arthritis is a prototypic autoimmune disease characterized by highly prevalent autoantibodies – anti‐citrullinated protein antibodies (ACPA). A novel nanoHPLC‐MS approach based on the intact Fc/2 subunit identifies hitherto neglected Fc proteoform profiles of IgG (auto)antibodies across different biofluids. The findings demonstrate subclass‐

Sonochemically‐Induced Reduction of Alkenes to Alkanes with Ammonia

open access: yesAngewandte Chemie, Volume 134, Issue 51, December 19, 2022., 2022
Ammonia is used as a hydrogen source for the reduction of alkenes to alkanes. The originality stems from the use of cavitation bubbles that act as “microreactors” to break the N−H bond of NH3. As a result, this protocol does not involve any catalyst and it releases nitrogen (and partly hydrogen) as a sole co‐product.

Burn‐Induced Gut Microbiota Dysbiosis Aggravates Skeletal Muscle Atrophy by Tryptophan‐Kynurenine Mediated AHR Pathway Activation

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study elucidates a pivotal crosstalk between the gut microbiota and skeletal muscles atrophy induced by burn injuries, a process fueled by the overactivation of IDO‐1 in the colon. This overactivation initiates the metabolism of tryptophan into kynurenine.

RFWD3 Reprograms Nucleotide Metabolism Through PHGDH to Induce Chemoresistance In Osteosarcoma

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
RFWD3 is identified as a key regulator of cisplatin (DDP) sensitivity in osteosarcoma using a genome‐wide CRISPR screen. RFWD3 promotes PHGDH ubiquitination, enhancing NAD+‐mediated nucleotide biosynthesis. Knocking out RFWD3 sensitized osteosarcoma cells to DDP.
