An evaluation of weld metal nitrogen retention and properties in 316NL austenitic stainless steel

open access: yes, 2011
A series of tests were conducted using varying levels of nitrogen and helium in a conventional argon shielding gas when welding 316LN austenitic stainless steel. The outcome was that a 15 per cent nitrogen addition to the argon shielding gas had the most

The gas content in galactic disks: Correlation with kinematics [PDF]

open access: yesAstronomy Letters, 2005
We consider the relationship between the total HI mass in late-type galaxies and the kinematic properties of their disks. The mass $M_HI$ for galaxies with a wide variety of properties, from dwarf dIrr galaxies with active star formation to giant low-brightness galaxies, is shown to correlate with the product $V_c R_0$ ($V_c$ is the rotational velocity,

Hippo pathway at the crossroads of stemness and therapeutic resistance in breast cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Dysregulation of the Hippo pathway drives nuclear accumulation of YAP/TAZ, activating stemness‐related transcriptional programs that sustain breast cancer stemness and fuel therapeutic resistance across subtypes, underscoring Hippo signaling as a targetable vulnerability. Figure created and edited with BioRender.com.

GAS LIFTING FOR PRODUCTION OPTIMIZATION USING EXTRA-HIGH-PRESSURE (XHP) GAS FROM NATURAL GAS WELLS WITHOUT COMPRESSION [PDF]

open access: yes, 2023
Artificial lift techniques are used when reservoir pressure drops below the fluid hydrostatic column weight in the well. A compressor station supplies high-pressure gas for the gas lift system, which includes a gas distribution manifold, gas lift lines ...

Revealing the Environmental Dependence of Molecular Gas Content in a Distant X-Ray Cluster at z = 2.51 [PDF]

open access: yesAstrophysical Journal, 2018
We present a census of the molecular gas properties of galaxies in the most distant known X-ray cluster, CLJ1001, at z = 2.51, using deep observations of CO(1-0) with the Karl G. Jansky Very Large Array.

Developmental programmes drive cellular plasticity, disease progression and therapy resistance in lung adenocarcinoma

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
This study shows that lung adenocarcinomas exploit developmental branching morphogenesis to acquire a therapy resistant basal‐like tumour cell state. This process was found to be regulated by combined TP53 loss‐of‐function and type‐I interferon signalling, identifying a novel axis for biomarker and therapeutic target discovery.

Gas Content of Graphites, (I)

open access: yesJournal of the Atomic Energy Society of Japan / Atomic Energy Society of Japan, 1961
Gas evolution from graphite was studied. The materials used for the study included natural and artificial graphites, two kinds for each, and amorphous carbon, one kind. All the materials were received from the respective makers in the from of powder. Degassing was carried out at 300°, 600° and 1, 000°C in vacuo. The total volume of gases evolved ranged
