Gas evolution from graphite was studied. The materials used for the study included natural and artificial graphites, two kinds for each, and amorphous carbon, one kind. All the materials were received from the respective makers in the from of powder. Degassing was carried out at 300°, 600° and 1, 000°C in vacuo. The total volume of gases evolved ranged

On the Gas Content and Efficiency of AGN Feedback in Low-redshift Quasars [PDF]
The interstellar medium is crucial to understanding the physics of active galaxies and the coevolution between supermassive black holes and their host galaxies. However, direct gas measurements are limited by sensitivity and other uncertainties.

An epithelial GPR35 isoform supports tumor‐associated transcriptional and metabolic phenotypes
GPR35 generates two functionally distinct isoforms with previously unresolved roles. GPR35‐short mediates immune‐cell chemotaxis, while GPR35‐long is enriched in colorectal cancer epithelium, where it supports increased metabolism, proliferation, and tumor‐associated transcriptional programs.

GAS LIFTING FOR PRODUCTION OPTIMIZATION USING EXTRA-HIGH-PRESSURE (XHP) GAS FROM NATURAL GAS WELLS WITHOUT COMPRESSION [PDF]
Artificial lift techniques are used when reservoir pressure drops below the fluid hydrostatic column weight in the well. A compressor station supplies high-pressure gas for the gas lift system, which includes a gas distribution manifold, gas lift lines ...

Tumour–host interactions in Drosophila: mechanisms in the tumour micro‐ and macroenvironment
This review examines how tumour–host crosstalk takes place at multiple levels of biological organisation, from local cell competition and immune crosstalk to organism‐wide metabolic and physiological collapse. Here, we integrate findings from Drosophila melanogaster studies that reveal conserved mechanisms through which tumours hijack host systems to ...

Artificial neural network optimisation of shielding gas flow rate in gas metal arc welding subjected to cross drafts when using alternating shielding gases [PDF]
This study implemented an iterative experimental approach in order to determine the shielding gas flow required to produce high quality welds in the gas metal arc welding (GMAW) process with alternating shielding gases when subjected to varying ...
