The computer simulation technique has been widely applied to the mine disaster control field. In this paper, we discuss the use of dense borehole pre-drainage technology as a preventive measure for coal and gas outburst. In order to enhance the pre-drainage efficiency and rationally arrange the borehole, the solid-gas coupled RFPA2D-Gas software is ...

Drainage waves structure in gas-liquid foam
International Journal of Multiphase Flow, 1996Abstract The simple physical model of foam drainage suggested previously by the authors is developed. A non-linear partial differential equation is obtained to describe foam syneresis (drainage process). Special kinds of its solutions in the form of a travelling wave are analysed.

Characterization and drainage kinetics of colloidal gas aphrons
AIChE Journal, 2005AbstractThe variation of air holdup and stability of colloidal gas aphrons (CGAs) with stirring time, surfactant concentration [6, 8.1, 10, and 12 mM sodium lauryl sulfate (SLS)], and stirring speed (3500–7000 rpm) was investigated, and an empirical correlation between the air holdup and stirring time was obtained.

Significance of gas flow in anisotropic coal seams to underground gas drainage
Journal of Petroleum Science and Engineering, 2019Abstract At present, gas drainage technology from boreholes is an effective means of preventing gas disasters in deep mines and realise better utilisation of gas. To study the spatio-temporal evolution of gas flow fields around boreholes for gas drainage, it was postulated that the permeability of a coal mass is a non-free vector relating to spatial ...
