Toward the Utilization of 3D Blading in the Cantilevered Stator from Highly Loaded Compressors

open access: yesApplied Sciences, 2023
Three-dimensional blading is an efficient technique in compressor aerodynamic design, and its function mechanism in the cantilevered stator needs to be addressed. This paper focuses on the sweep and dihedral in the cantilevered stator and seeks to expose

Flow and Combustion Characteristics of a Novel Triple-Swirler Combustor Under Multiple Operating Conditions

open access: yesAerospace
A Realizable k−ε turbulence model and a finite-rate/eddy-dissipation combustion model, together with experimental validation, were used to investigate the flow and combustion characteristics of a novel triple-swirler combustor under multiple operating ...

The effect of Jatropha seed cake producer gas flow rates on a diesel engine operated on dual fuel mode at high engine speed

open access: yesEngineering and Applied Science Research, 2019
Jatropha seed cake is a byproduct of biodiesel production. The seed cake can be used to make a producer gas that can be fumigated into a diesel engine operated on dual fuel mode without major modification.

An epithelial GPR35 isoform supports tumor‐associated transcriptional and metabolic phenotypes

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
GPR35 generates two functionally distinct isoforms with previously unresolved roles. GPR35‐short mediates immune‐cell chemotaxis, while GPR35‐long is enriched in colorectal cancer epithelium, where it supports increased metabolism, proliferation, and tumor‐associated transcriptional programs.

Crack propagation mechanism and life prediction of liner under thermal fatigue loads

open access: yesScientific Reports
To address the crack propagation issue in thin-walled multi-inclined-hole liners of aero-engine combustion chambers during service, a high-fidelity thermo-fluid-structure interaction (TFSI) numerical methodology was systematically developed in ...

Energy Effects of Ground Vortex-Induced Flow Distortion and Foreign Object Ingestion in Aeroengine Intakes

open access: yesEnergies
Ground vortex formation beneath aeroengine intakes during near-ground operations represents an energy-related aerodynamic issue, as it degrades inlet flow quality, induces pressure distortion, and reduces the effective utilization of incoming kinetic ...

Developmental programmes drive cellular plasticity, disease progression and therapy resistance in lung adenocarcinoma

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
This study shows that lung adenocarcinomas exploit developmental branching morphogenesis to acquire a therapy resistant basal‐like tumour cell state. This process was found to be regulated by combined TP53 loss‐of‐function and type‐I interferon signalling, identifying a novel axis for biomarker and therapeutic target discovery.

Numerical study on variable area afterburner with wide bypass ratio

open access: yesXibei Gongye Daxue Xuebao
To investigate the impact of variable geometry components on the performance of afterburner, the afterburner of triangular variable connotation components was designed, and the effects of the different state points and duct ratio on the total pressure ...
