Impact of Different H/D Ratio on Axial Gas Holdup Measured by Four-Tips Optical Fiber Probe in Slurry Bubble Column

open access: yesJournal of Engineering, 2016
In wide range of chemical, petrochemical and energy processes, it is not possible to manage without slurry bubble column reactors. In this investigation, time average local gas holdup was recorded for three different height to diameter (H/D) ratios 3, 4 ...

Numerical Simulation of Gas-Liquid Flow in a Bubble Column by Intermittent Aeration in Newtonian Liquid/Non-Newtonian Liquid

open access: yesInternational Journal of Chemical Engineering, 2018
The dynamic behaviors of gas-liquid two-phase flow were simulated in a lab-scale intermittent bubble column by Euler-Euler two-fluid model coupled with the PBM (population balance model) using two different liquid phases, i.e., Newtonian fluid (water ...

Electro‐Steric Ion Confinement in Polyelectrolyte Networks for Robust Nonvolatile Artificial Synapse

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Polyelectrolyte stoichiometry governs ion transport and retention in electrolyte‐gated synaptic transistors. A PSS‐rich network creates electro‐steric ion confinement that suppresses ion back‐diffusion and stabilizes channel doping, enabling robust nonvolatile synaptic memory, linear weight updates, and low‐energy operation.

ESTIMATION OF GAS HOLDUP AND INPUT POWER IN FROTH FLOTATION USING ARTIFICIAL NEURAL NETWORK

open access: yesIranian Journal of Materials Science and Engineering, 2015
Multivariable regression and artificial neural network procedures were used to modeling of the input power and gas holdup of flotation. The stepwise nonlinear equations have shown greater accuracy than linear ones where they can predict input power, and ...

Phases distribution in slurry bubble columns: Insights from single-source computed tomography and gas holdup measurements

open access: yes, 2023
In this study, a cylindrical stainless-steel column with dimensions of 250 cm in height and 16.2 cm in diameter was employed to investigate how fluid properties influence phase distribution within slurry bubble columns.

Gas holdup and flow patterns in three phase bubble columns

open access: yes, 1988
The main objective of this research is to determine the effect of solids on gas holdup and flow pattern in bubble columns. The other objective is to study the effect of gas distributors on the above parameters.
