Modeling of the Transport Phenomena in GMAW Arc under the Shielding of Ar-He Mixtures [PDF]
Gas metal arc welding (GMAW) is one of the most widely used method to assemble parts together in various industries. Argon and helium are the most common shielding gases used in GMAW to protect the molten metal from oxidization.

An evaluation of weld metal nitrogen retention and properties in 316NL austenitic stainless steel [PDF]
A series of tests were conducted using varying levels of nitrogen and helium in a conventional argon shielding gas when welding 316LN austenitic stainless steel. The outcome was that a 15 per cent nitrogen addition to the argon shielding gas had the most

A potential solution to GMAW gas flow optimisation [PDF]
A number of self-regulating shielding gas valves have been developed to synchronise the shielding gas flow rate to the welding current being used in the gas metal arc welding process (GMAW).

Mechanochemically synthesized Cr3C2 and Mo2C, incorporated in a polyurethane‐based binder matrix, and applied to stainless steel, show the lowest contact resistance. The Cr3C2 coating provides good corrosion performance, while the Mo2C coating is unable to protect the metal from corrosion.

Evaluation of Melting Efficiency in Cold Wire Gas Metal Arc Welding Using 1020 Steel as Substrate
A key welding parameter to quantify in the welding process is the ratio of the heat required to melt the weld metal versus the total energy delivered to the weld, and this is referred to as the melting efficiency.

Use of Cold Plasma for Phytosanitation and Decontamination of Food Products: A Review
Applications of cold plasma in food industry. ABSTRACT Consumers are increasingly demanding healthy and nutrient‐rich food. Although conventional thermal processing techniques (pasteurization, sterilization, and blanching) ensure food safety and extend shelf life, they often negatively impact nutritional value and sensory quality, and they also consume
