The electric field dependence of the mobilities of gas-phase protonated monomers [(MH+(H2O)n] and proton-bound dimers [M2H+(H2O)n] of organophosphorus compounds was determined at E/N values between 0 and 140 Td at ambient pressure in air with moisture between 0.1 and 15 000 ppm.

Ion mobility spectra were recorded for linear aliphatic ketones with three to nine carbon atoms. Two most intense peaks were found to be the peaks of the monomer and dimer and used to calculate the reduced ion mobilities and the scattering (collision) cross sections (by the Mason-Schamp equation).

Structural assignments of gas phase chromium oxide cluster anions, CrmOn- (m = 1-7), have been achieved by comparison between experimental collision cross sections measured by ion mobility mass spectrometry and theoretical collision cross sections of optimized structures by quantum chemical calculations. In the mass spectrum, significant magic behavior

The minimum structural unit of chromatin is the nucleosome core particle (NCP), consisting of 146 bp of DNA wrapped around a histone octamer, which itself contains two H2A/H2B dimers and one (H3/H4)2 tetramer. These multimers possess functionally important tail regions that are intrinsically disordered.

This report describes the rapid characterization of positional and structural carbohydrate isomers based on structural separations provided by ion mobility-mass spectrometry (IM-MS). Many of the diseases associated with glycoprotein variation can be more effectively treated with earlier detection substantiating the need for high-throughput ...

The coupling of electrospray ionization (ESI) with ion mobility-mass spectrometry (IM-MS) allows structural studies on biological macromolecules in a solvent-free environment. Collision cross sections (CCSs) measured by IM-MS provide a measure of analyte size. For native proteins and their complexes, many structural features can be preserved in the gas
