Migration Aspect in the Oil-Bearing Capacity of the Domanic Formation in Tatarstan

open access: yesGeoresursy, 2017
The article highlights the problem of oil bearing of the Domanic Formation on the territory of the Republic of Tatarstan. Comparing the geochemical characteristics of bitumen of the Semilukskian horizon and oils of the Eifelian-Frasnian terrigenous ...

A new flow chip in combination with multiphoton microscopy as a protocol for longitudinal 3D imaging of tissue calcification under shear stress

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Miniaturized flow chip platform enabling continuous perfusion and longitudinal multiphoton 3D imaging of vascular smooth muscle cell constructs under physiological flow. Brightfield imaging guides region selection, while CellTracker Green and mRuby‐labeled fetuin‐A visualize cells and mineral deposition, respectively. Magnesium supplementation markedly

The flexibility of gas - what is it worth? [PDF]

open access: yes, 2020
What is the evidence on the flexibility value that gas vectors and gas networks can provide to support the future energy system? There is an increasing debate regarding the use of gas networks in providing support for the decarbonisation of energy ...

Multiobjective optimization of CO2 injection under geomechanical risk in high water cut oil reservoirs using artificial intelligence approaches

open access: yesScientific Reports
To obtain the maximum field oil recovery (FOR) and CO2 sequestration ratio (CSR), it is imperative to optimize the CO2 injection and liquid production rate. However, previous studies ignore the geomechanical risks indeed. Therefore, a hybrid optimization

A 17 Year Old With Developmental Delay Presenting With Increasing Confusion and Imbalance

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Methylmalonic acidemia is an autosomal recessive genetic disorder primarily caused by defects in methylmalonyl‐CoA mutase and cobalamin (vitamin B12) metabolism. These defects disrupt the tricarboxylic acid cycle and oxidative phosphorylation, leading to the abnormal accumulation of metabolic products such as methylmalonic acid, propionic acid,

Predicting methane production in dairy cows [PDF]

open access: yes, 2013
Methane is a potent greenhouse gas, to which enteric fermentation from ruminants contributes significantly. Reliable and accurate predictions of methane (CH₄) production from dairy cows would be of interest to develop mitigation strategies and for ...

Mechanochemical Synthesis and Characterization of Nanostructured ErB4 and NdB4 Rare‐Earth Tetraborides

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, Volume 27, Issue 6, March 2025.
ErB4 and NdB4 nanostructured powders are produced by mechanochemical synthesis. 5 h mechanical alloying and 4 M HCl acid leaching are used in the production. ErB4 and NdB4 powders exhibit maximum magnetization of 0.4726 emu g−1 accompanied with an antiferromagnetic‐to‐paramagnetic phase transition at about TN = 18 K and 0.132 emu g−1 with a maximum at ...

Revisiting Stability Criteria in Ball‐Milled High‐Entropy Alloys: Do Hume–Rothery and Thermodynamic Rules Equally Apply?

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, Volume 27, Issue 6, March 2025.
The stability criteria affecting the formation of high‐entropy alloys, particularly focusing in supersaturated solid solutions produced by mechanical alloying, are analyzed. Criteria based on Hume–Rothery rules are distinguished from those derived from thermodynamic relations. The formers are generally applicable to mechanically alloyed samples.

FLUID FLOW MODEL BASED ON THE ANALYSIS OF WATER INJECTION DATA IN THE TURONIAN RESERVOIR OF THE LIAWENDA FIELD, OFFSHORE COASTAL BASIN OF D.R. CONGO [PDF]

open access: yesRomanian Journal of Petroleum & Gas Technology
Arranged the hydrocarbons in an oil reservoir require several techniques for their exploitation. The Liawenda field, discovered in December 1971 following the drilling of the Liawenda-01 exploration well, has a total of 186 wells with an annual ...

Characterization of Defect Distribution in an Additively Manufactured AlSi10Mg as a Function of Processing Parameters and Correlations with Extreme Value Statistics

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
Predicting extreme defects in additive manufacturing remains a key challenge limiting its structural reliability. This study proposes a statistical framework that integrates Extreme Value Theory with advanced process indicators to explore defect–process relationships and improve the estimation of critical defect sizes. The approach provides a basis for
