Natural gas production from hydropressured aquifers [PDF]

open access: yes, 1981
Discussed in this paper are the global occurrences of natural gas in hydropressured aquifers. The nature of the producing mechanism is such that under most circumstances gas production is relatively small compared to conventional gas sources.

Investigation of Pore Structure of a Argillaceous Rocks Reservoir in the 5th Member of Xujiahe Formation in Western Sichuan, Using NAM, NMR and AIP-FESEM

open access: yesYankuang ceshi, 2017
Micropore is the effective reservoir for argillaceous rocks, and its structure parameter is the important parameter for the evaluation of gas reservoir and the estimation of the amount of resources.

Laser Powder Bed Fusion of Alumina: Effects of Scanning Strategies on External and Internal Defects

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
This study investigates how scanning strategies affect pure alumina in laser powder bed fusion. Linear 45° scanning yields uniform surfaces but high porosity, while the island‐concentric strategy provides higher density with through‐holes favorable for infiltration. Findings highlight pathways toward optimizing defect‐free alumina parts.

What drove down natural gas production in Argentina? [PDF]

open access: yes
We address the causes behind the drop in natural gas production in Argentina since 2004, starting from a basic supply model that depends on economic incentives, and adding control variables related to different potential explanations such as firm ...

Natural gas conversion V : proceedings of the Fifth International Natural Gas Conversion Symposium, Giardini Naxos-Taormina, Italy, September 20-25, 1998 / [PDF]

open access: yes, 1998
On January 1988, the ascertained and economically accessible reserves of Natural Gas (NG) amounted to over 144,000 billion cubic meters worldwide, corresponding to 124 billion tons of oil equivalents (comparable with the liquid oil reserves, which are ...

What Do Large Language Models Know About Materials?

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
If large language models (LLMs) are to be used inside the material discovery and engineering process, they must be benchmarked for the accurateness of intrinsic material knowledge. The current work introduces 1) a reasoning process through the processing–structure–property–performance chain and 2) a tool for benchmarking knowledge of LLMs concerning ...

Government involvement in liberalised gas markets; a welfare-economic analysis of Dutch gas-depletion policy [PDF]

open access: yes
This report analyses the welfare effects of two major components of the Dutch gas-depletion policy: the offtake guarantee for small-fields gas and the cap on production from the Groningen field.

On the Lightweight Potential of Laser Additive Manufactured NiTi Triply Periodic Minimal Sheet Lattices

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
This study explores the lightweight potential of laser additive‐manufactured NiTi triply periodic minimal surface sheet lattices. It systematically investigates the effects of relative density and unit cell size on surface quality, deformation recovery, compression behavior, and energy absorption.

Characteristics of Fracture Development in the Ultra-Deep Bedrock Gas Reservoirs of the Northern Qaidam Basin and the Log Evaluation

open access: yesCejing jishu
To achieve high-precision and effective prediction of fractures in ultra-deep bedrock gas reservoirs, and to provide a reliable reference for reservoir classification and perforation interval optimization in such reservoirs, this study focuses on an ...
