Low‐Angle Grain Boundaries and Re‐Segregation in Single‐Crystalline Ni‐Base Superalloys

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
This work demonstrates that Re‐segregation at low‐angle grain boundaries (LAGBs) in Ni‐base superalloys is influenced by misorientation angle. Advanced microscopy and atom probe tomography reveal that higher misorientation angles increases Re‐segregation.

In Situ All-Fiber Remote Gas Sensing Strategy Based on Anti-Resonant Hollow-Core Fiber and Middle-Hole Eccentric-Core Fiber

open access: yesPhotonics
Laser absorption spectroscopy for gas sensing basically employs an air pump located at the gas cell probe to draw in ambient gases, and the on-site gas sample is subsequently delivered for laboratory non-real-time analysis.

NDIR instrumentation design for Carbon Dioxide gas sensing

open access: yes, 2010
In this thesis the development of a single pass non-dispersive infrared (NDIR) CO2 gas sensor with a path length of 30mm and with a lowest level CO2 detectivity of 20 ppm is described.

Langmuir-Blodgett films of porphyrins and phthalocyanines [PDF]

open access: yes, 2002
Phthalocyanines and porphyrins have been studied for many years as bulk, thick and thin films. Their use in Langmuir and Langmuir-Blodgett films is governed their peripheral substituents.

Photoluminescence investigation on the gas sensing property of ZnO nanorods prepared by plasma-enhanced CVD method

open access: yes, 2010
Gas sensing property of ZnO nanorods prepared by plasma-enhanced chemical vapor deposition (CVD) method is studied using formaldehyde as the probe gas, and the intrinsic defects are investigated by photoluminescence (PL). The results show that high ratio

Resistance Rapid Heating of Aluminum Coatings in an Extreme High Vacuum–Adequate Atmosphere for Hot Stamping

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
The subject of this work is the development of a corrosion‐protective coating on steel sheets for form hardening. Rapid heating in an extreme high vacuum (XHV)‐adequate atmosphere is a useful method to prevent oxidation during alloying of 22MnB5 and aluminum to obtain a metallurgical bonding.
