Spatiotemporal Thermal Modulation and Patterning using a Programmable 1024 Element Microheater Array

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Programmable microheater arrays are essential for a variety of applications. However, large arrays have thus far not been realized. We introduce a programmable 32×$\times$32 microheater array consisting of heating elements – each smaller than 300 μm$\umu{\rm m}$.

Pressure‐Tuned Superconducting Dome and Persistent Charge‐Density‐Wave Order in NdSeTe2

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
NdSeTe2 exhibits an unusual pressure‐tuned phase diagram in which charge‐density‐wave order does not disappear at optimal superconductivity. Instead, Raman spectroscopy reveals a transformation from long‐range to short‐range correlations that remain invisible to resistivity and persist across the entire superconducting dome.

Gas-induced swelling in coal

Fuel, 1986
Abstract Dilatometric studies were carried out on three coal samples in various gaseous environments. The carbon contents of the three samples were 65.8%, 78.3% and 83.8% d.a.f., respectively. The sample with the lowest carbon content has shown the maximum length increase (0.5%) on exposure to a CO 2 atmosphere. This corresponds to a volume increase
