METHANOL TO GASOLINE: IMPROVED GASOLINE YIELDS
Fuel Science and Technology International, 1990ABSTRACT The role played by the catalyst in the mehhanol-to-gasoline process under varying conditions is significant. The mobil ZSM-5 catalyst yielded dimethyl ether as a major product in earlier experiments conducted in the Chemical Engineering Department.

Injection of petroleum distillates is rare. We recently cared for a man with a long history of drug abuse who attempted intravenous injection with gasoline into a right forearm vein in order to "get high." We believe he accomplished an intramuscular and subcutaneous injection of gasoline which resulted in a severe impairment of the right hand and ...

Biofiltration of gasoline and ethanol-amended gasoline vapors
Journal of Environmental Science and Health, Part A, 2012Assuming the projected increase in use of ethanol as a biofuel, the current study was conducted to compare the biofiltration efficiencies for plain and 25% ethanol-containing gasoline. Two biofilters were operated in a downflow mode for 7 months, one of them being compost-based whereas the other using a synthetic packing material, granulated tire ...

Gasoline Explosions, Gasoline Sniffing
Journal of Burn Care & Rehabilitation, 1986One hundred twenty-two patients between the ages of 10 and 15 were admitted to the Shriners Burns Institute between July 1981 and November 1984. Seventy-five of the 122 patients sustained burns as a direct result of liquid gasoline explosions. Thirty patients had thrown gasoline on a fire and 17 others admitted to having ignited gasoline with a match ...

The Changes of Gasoline Compounds in Blood in a Case of Gasoline Intoxication
Journal of Toxicology: Clinical Toxicology, 1992A 44 year-old man, found in his gasoline vapor filled car, died of multiple organ failure on d 9. Blood samples from d 2-7 were analyzed by gas chromatography/mass spectrometry. The estimated half-lives of gasoline, toluene, ethylbenzene, m,p-xylene, and o-xylene were 16.9, 21.4, 27.5, 32.8, and 25.8 h respectively.
