Neuroprotective activity of different monosaccharide‐modified gastrodin analogs

Journal of the Chinese Chemical Society, 2020
AbstractGastrodin is a very important and well‐known bioactive glycoside compound in Chinese medicine. It is also known as a drug with neuroprotective function. Here, a practical diversified synthesis of a series of gastrodin analogs was reported, which involved four‐step procedures consisting of bromination, oxidation, etherification, and reduction ...

Simultaneous determination of gastrodin and its metabolite by HPLC

Biomedical Chromatography, 1987
AbstractA rapid and specific HPLC method for the simultaneous determination of gastrodin and its metabolite gastrodigenin (p‐hydroxybenzyl alcohol) in rat plasma, bile, liver, urine and faeces is described. The separation was achieved by using a reversed phase column (YWG‐C18) eluted with methanol‐water (2.5:97.5 v/v).

Gastrodin ameliorates diabetic nephropathy by activating the AMPK/Nrf2 pathway

Journal of Molecular Histology
Diabetic nephropathy (DN) is a leading cause of end-stage kidney failure, contributing to elevated morbidity and mortality rates in individuals with diabetes. Despite its potential renoprotective effects, the molecular mechanism by which gastrodin (GSTD) impacts DN remains unclear.

Gastrodin attenuates neuroinflammation in DOI‐induce Tourette syndrome in rats

Journal of Biochemical and Molecular Toxicology, 2019
AbstractObjectiveTourette syndrome (TS) is a chronic neuropsychiatric disorder. Its clinical manifestations are involuntary and recurrent muscle twitch, resulting in motor twitch and occurrence twitch. Traditional Chinese medicine has obvious advantages in treating TS. The aim of this study was to investigate the effects and mechanism of gastrodin on 1‐
