Gastrointestinal Parasites of Cattle in Central Java [PDF]

open access: yes, 2016
Gastrointestinal parasites are the main cause of losses of cattle farms including feed conversion-failure and even death of heavily infected animals. We have conducted a random examination of 455 cows in the Special Region of Yogyakarta-Central Java from

A C‐Nucleoside Analogue of Cordycepin With High Metabolic Stability and Potent Anti‐Psoriatic Activity via Microneedle Delivery

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This work identified CPD3a as a potent, stable C‐nucleoside cordycepin derivative. When formulated into microneedle array for topical treatment, it ameliorated psoriasis by rebalancing immunity and enhancing antioxidant defenses. ABSTRACT Psoriasis is a chronic inflammatory disorder characterized by immune dysregulation and epidermal hyperplasia ...

A Decoy‐Receptor‐Armed Biomimetic Nanotherapeutic With Inherent Tropism for Conserved Pathogenic Macrophages for Treating Osteoarthritis and Intervertebral Disc Degeneration

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A biomimetic doppelgänger nanosystem neutralizes extracellular inflammatory cytokines and silences intracellular pyroptosis, reprogramming pathogenic macrophages to attenuate both joint and spine degeneration. ABSTRACT Osteoarthritis (OA) and intervertebral disc degeneration (IVDD) are debilitating musculoskeletal disorders driven by shared ...

Associations between worm egg count and production in Dorper sheep [PDF]

open access: yes, 2008
With changes to the Australian sheep industry, breeds that have a meat emphasis are becoming increasingly adopted by farmers. One such breed is the Dorper sheep, which was used in this study to investigate the relationship between worm egg count and ...

Basal Plane Graphene Coated Zn Powder for High Performance Aqueous Zn Metal Batteries

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A mechanofusion‐driven dry coating forms a hydrophobic graphene shell on Zn powder, stabilizing the electrode‐electrolyte interface. This basal‐plane‐rich protective layer modifies the Zn2+ solvation environment and promotes preferential growth along the (002) plane, suppressing dendrite and parasitic reactions.

Suppression of allergic airway inflammation by helminth-induced regulatory T cells [PDF]

open access: yes, 2005
Allergic diseases mediated by T helper type (Th) 2 cell immune responses are rising dramatically in most developed countries. Exaggerated Th2 cell reactivity could result, for example, from diminished exposure to Th1 cell–inducing microbial infections ...

Synthesis‐Dependent Grain Boundary Density Governs Low‐Temperature Lithium Diffusion in Single‐Crystal NCM Cathodes

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
The relationship between synthesis‐dependent crystallization behavior, internal grain‐boundary density, and intrinsic lithium diffusion kinetics in single‐crystal mid‐Ni NCM cathodes is elucidated, providing practical design insights for advanced cathode materials.

Reveal Non‐Uniform Passivation on Lithium Metal Anode With Operando Spectroscopic Ellipsometry

open access: yesAdvanced Energy Materials, EarlyView.
In‐operando spectroscopic ellipsometry reveals how nucleation and crystallographic orientation govern the non‐uniform growth of native passivation films on lithium metal. Time‐resolved thickness mapping captures island formation and coalescence, while orientation‐dependent measurements show that the equilibrium film on Li(110) is approximately half as ...
