Burrow Persistence and Spatial Distribution of Federally and State‐Protected Gopher Tortoise (Gopherus polyphemus) Populations in Southwest Alabama

open access: yesAnimal Conservation, EarlyView.
The gopher tortoise (Gopherus polyphemus), a keystone species and ecosystem engineer, has declined by ~80% over the past century due to primarily habitat loss. In a 28‐year resurvey of federally protected Mobile County and state‐protected Baldwin County, we found tortoise populations persisted at ~59% and ~31% of sites, respectively, with significant ...

Commerce, coalitions, and global value chains: Coordinated and collective lobbying on trade

open access: yesAmerican Journal of Political Science, EarlyView.
Abstract Global value chains (GVCs) have connected firms in complex networks within and across national borders. However, political economy models often assume away production linkages and thus fail to explain pervasive and diverse trade coalitions cutting across industries and firms. I develop a GVC‐centered framework where production linkages through

Long‐Term Efficacy and Safety of Ligelizumab as Re‐Treatment in Patients With Chronic Spontaneous Urticaria

open access: yesAllergy, EarlyView.
Ligelizumab re‐treatment in CSU patients showed sustained efficacy and tolerability. Over 50% achieved symptom control (UAS7 ≤ 6) by Week 12; benefits maintained through Week 52. No new safety signals observed; aligns with prior PEARL trial outcomes. CSU, chronic spontaneous urticaria; mg, milligram; q4w, every 4 weeks; UAS, urticaria activity score ...

Molecular Characterization of Non‐Specific Esophagitis Reveals a Distinct Non‐Eosinophilic Phenotype With Fibrotic Traits

open access: yesAllergy, EarlyView.
This study comprehensively characterizes non‐specific esophagitis and elucidates eosinophil‐independent fibrosis mechanisms. NSE appears to be a distinct fibrotic phenotype of the esophagus, without any considerable overlap with GERD and other chronic inflammatory disorders such as EoE or lymphocytic esophagitis.
