Norovirus-induced Gastroparesis [PDF]
Postviral gastroparesis can result from a variety of viral infections and may cause severe, persistent gastrointestinal symptoms. We report the case of an 85-year-old man with one year of persistent nausea, epigastric pain, early satiety, and 25-pound weight loss after an episode of viral gastroenteritis contracted on a cruise ship.

Magnetic Resonance Imaging of Gastric Motility in Conscious Rats
By training rats to remain awake inside an MRI scanner, we can now noninvasively scan their gastrointestinal tracts without using anesthesia. This allows us to assess gastric motility and emptying in conscious rats without the various confounding effects that anesthesia might cause.

BSGM is a noninvasive diagnostic tool measuring gastric myoelectrical activity. BSGM low‐stability phenotype had a perfect correlation with neuropathy on ADM and normal BSGM phenotype had an overall good correlation with normal ADM studies. Patients with low‐stability BSGM had an overall higher level of nausea and bloating.
