Fabrication and Characterization of GaN-Based Fin-Channel Array Metal-Oxide-Semiconductor High-Electron Mobility Transistors With Recessed-Gate and Ga₂O₃ Gate Insulator Layer

open access: yesIEEE Journal of the Electron Devices Society, 2021
In this work, the properties of gallium oxide (Ga2O3) and its excellent interface properties to GaN-based materials are explored as a gate insulator layer for GaN-based metal-oxide-semiconductor high-electron mobility transistors (MOSHEMTs).

High throughput and secure advanced encryption standard on field programmable gate array with fine pipelining and enhanced key expansion

open access: yesIET Computers & Digital Techniques, 2015
Aiming at protection of high speed data, field programmable gate array (FPGA)-based advanced encryption standard (AES) design is proposed here. Deep investigation into the logical operations of AES with regard to FPGA architectures leads to two efficient

A fault-tolerant non-Clifford gate for the surface code in two dimensions [PDF]

open access: yesSci. Adv. 6, eaay4929 (2020), 2019
Fault-tolerant logic gates will consume a large proportion of the resources of a two-dimensional quantum computing architecture. Here we show how to perform a fault-tolerant non-Clifford gate with the surface code; a quantum error-correcting code now under intensive development. This alleviates the need for distillation or higher-dimensional components

Aharonov-Bohm phase as quantum gate in two-electron charge qubits

open access: yes, 2004
We analyze the singlet-triplet splitting on a planar array of quantum dots coupled capacitively to a set of external voltage gates. The system is modelled using an extended Hubbard Hamiltonian keeping two excess electrons on the array.

Multiparticle entanglement with quantum logic networks: Application to cold trapped ions [PDF]

open access: yes, 2001
We show how to construct a multi-qubit control gate on a quantum register of an arbitrary size N. This gate performs a single-qubit operation on a specific qubit conditioned by the state of other N-1 qubits.

Scaling Ion Trap Quantum Computation through Fast Quantum Gates [PDF]

open access: yesPhys. Rev. Lett. 93, 100502 (2004)., 2004
We propose a method to achieve scalable quantum computation based on fast quantum gates on an array of trapped ions, without the requirement of ion shuttling. Conditional quantum gates are obtained for any neighboring ions through spin-dependent acceleration of the ions from periodic photon kicks.

High-resolution FPGA-pulse width modulation applied to PFC 2 MHz converter using eGaN field effect transistor

open access: yesThe Journal of Engineering, 2019
This study proposes an implementation based on a low-cost field-programmable gate array (FPGA) of a high-resolution pulse width modulation applied on a single-phase power factor correction (PFC) converter operating with 2 MHz switch frequency.

Arrays of Josephson junctions in an environment with vanishing impedance

open access: yes, 2000
The Hamiltonian operator for an unbiased array of Josephson junctions with gate voltages is constructed when only Cooper pair tunnelling and charging effects are taken into account.
