Environmental Sustainability of Natural Biopolymer‐Based Electrolytes for Lithium Ion Battery Applications

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Twenty‐one biopolymer electrolytes including membrane‐liquid electrolytes, gel electrolytes, and solid electrolytes are synthesized to analyze their electrochemical properties and environmental impacts through life cycle assessment. This consistent and comparable study demonstrates the significant functional and environmental benefits of biopolymer ...

An example of generalized Schur operators involving planar binary trees [PDF]

open access: yesCombinatorial representation theory and related topics, 85-97, RIMS K\^oky\^uroku Bessatsu, B8, 2008, 2006
Young's lattice is a prototypical example of differential posets. Differential posets have the Robinson correspondence, the correspondence between permutations and pairs of standard tableaux with the same shape, as in the case of Young's lattice.

Flexible 3D Kirigami Probes for In Vitro and In Vivo Neural Applications

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
A customizable and scalable approach to fabricate flexible 3D kirigami microelectrode arrays (MEAs) featuring up to 128 shanks, including surface and penetrating electrodes designed to interact with the 3D space of neural tissue, is presented. The 3D kirigami MEAs are successfully deployed in several neural applications, both in vitro and in vivo, and ...

Depth preserving property of the local Langlands correspondence for non-quasi-split unitary groups [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2018
In this paper, we extend our result on a depth preserving property of the local Langlands correspondence for quasi-split unitary groups (arXiv:1804.10901) to non-quasi-split unitary groups by using the local theta correspondence. The key ingredients are a depth preserving property of the local theta correspondence proved by Pan and a description of the

Recent Advances in Wide‐Bandgap Perovskite Solar Cells

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Ubiquitous defects predominately account for photo‐instability and open‐circuit voltage losses in wide‐bandgap perovskite solar cells (WBG PSCs). This review comprehensively presents the underlying impact mechanisms, summarizes the advanced optimization strategies across various functional layers and their interfaces to develop efficient and stable WBG

A new relation between geometric and dynamical properties of objects such as tilings and Delone sets [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2018
Let P be an object such as tiling, Delone set and weighted Dirac comb. There corresponds a dynamical system to P, called the corresponding dynamical system. Such dynamical systems are geometric analogues of symbolic dynamics. It is well-known that there are correspondences between geometric properties of P and properties of the corresponding dynamical ...

Sustainable 4D Printed Meta Biocomposite Materials for Programmable Structural Shape Changing

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
In this work, the architecture of a plant fiber cell wall is simplified to design novel concepts of 4D printed tubular moisture‐driven structural actuators, using the hygromorphic properties of continuous flax fiber (cFF) reinforced materials named meta biocomposites.

Explicit Construction of Local Langlangds Correspondence of GL(2,F) Using Theta Correspondence [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2015
The Langlands correspondence of GL(2,F) over a non-Archimedean local field F of characteristic 0 has been well studied. The construction uses the theta correspondence. In this paper, we are going to describe explicitly how this construction is done. We will then provide new proofs to several properties of the correspondence.
