Holographic evolution with dynamical boundary gravity

open access: yesJournal of High Energy Physics, 2022
Holography has provided valuable insights into the time evolution of strongly coupled gauge theories in a fixed spacetime. However, this framework is insufficient if this spacetime is dynamical.

Holographic Fermi and Non-Fermi Liquids with Transitions in Dilaton Gravity [PDF]

open access: yes, 2011
We study the two-point function for fermionic operators in a class of strongly coupled systems using the gauge-gravity correspondence. The gravity description includes a gauge field and a dilaton which determines the gauge coupling and the potential ...

Localized shocks [PDF]

open access: yes, 2014
We study products of precursors of spatially local operators, $W_{x_{n}}(t_{n}) ... W_{x_1}(t_1)$, where $W_x(t) = e^{-iHt} W_x e^{iHt}$. Using chaotic spin-chain numerics and gauge/gravity duality, we show that a single precursor fills a spatial region ...

Janus on the brane

open access: yesJournal of High Energy Physics, 2020
We present a non-supersymmetric deformation of probe branes describing conformal defects of codimension two in AdS/CFT. The worldvolume of the probe branes is deformed from AdS p × S 1 embedded in an AdS p+2 × ℳ D − p − 2 background to an embedding of ...

Integrability of classical strings dual for noncommutative gauge theories [PDF]

open access: yes, 2014
We derive the gravity duals of noncommutative gauge theories from the Yang-Baxter sigma model description of the AdS_5xS^5 superstring with classical r-matrices.

Phenotypic and genotypic characterization of single circulating tumor cells in the follow‐up of high‐grade serous ovarian cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Single circulating tumor cells (sCTCs) from high‐grade serous ovarian cancer patients were enriched, imaged, and genomically profiled using WGA and NGS at different time points during treatment. sCTCs revealed enrichment of alterations in Chromosomes 2, 7, and 12 as well as persistent or emerging oncogenic CNAs, supporting sCTC identity.

D-instantons on orbifolds and gauge/gravity correspondence [PDF]

open access: yesFortschritte der Physik, 2002
D-instantons are used to probe the near-horizon geometry of D3-branes systems on orbifold spaces. For fractional D3-branes, D-instanton calculus correctly reproduces the gauge beta-function and U(1)_R anomaly of the corresponding N=2 non-conformal Super Yang-Mills theories. For D3-branes wrapping the orbifold singularity, D-instantons can be identified

Holographic description of SCFT5 compactifications

open access: yesJournal of High Energy Physics, 2022
We present three infinite families of supersymmetric Type IIB backgrounds with AdS4, AdS3 and AdS2 factors, dual to SCFTs in 3, 2 and 1 space-time dimensions respectively. These field theories emerge at low energies, after a twisted compactification of a
