MINIMAL POINT OF A GAUSSIAN MEASURE

open access: yesMemoirs of the Faculty of Science, Kyushu University. Series A, Mathematics, 1977
Let μ be a first order Borel probability measure on a real locally convex Hausdorff space E. A point m is called a minimal point of μ if it minimizes the functional $ \\phi_\\lambda^\\mu (z) = \\int_E \\| z-x \\|_E d\\mu(x) $for all measurable semi-norm $\\| \\|_\\lambda$ on E.

Expanding Chemical Space of Nucleic Acid Nanoparticles for Tunable Antiviral‐Like Immunomodulatory Responses and Potent Adjuvant Activity

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
We introduce a nucleic acid nanoparticle (NANP) platform designed to be rrecognized by the human innate immune system in a regulated manner. By changing chemical composition while maintaining constant architectural parameters, we identify key determinants of immunorecognition enabling the rational design of NANPs with tunable immune activation profiles

Ultrahigh‐Yield, Multifunctional, and High‐Performance Organic Memory for Seamless In‐Sensor Computing Operation

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Molecular engineering of a nonconjugated radical polymer enables a significant enhancement of the glass transition temperature. The amorphous nature and tunability of the polymer, arising from its nonconjugated backbone, facilitates the fabrication of organic memristive devices with an exceptionally high yield (>95%), as well as substantial ...

Laser‐Based Sculpturing of Embedded Ultrathin Metal‐Oxide Nanopores for Enhanced Biomolecular Sensing

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Controlled laser‐drilling of embedded HfO2 membranes creates three layer nanopores with Gaussian‐shaped cavities sculptured in the supporting layers. These embedded solid‐state nanopores slow DNA translocation by 12‐fold compared to SiNx pores, enabling high‐resolution, label‐free detection of short DNAs, RNAs, and proteins.

Experimental Demonstration and Characterization of a Non-Mode Selective (De)Multiplexer Using Multi-Plane Light Converter (MPLC)

open access: yesIEEE Photonics Journal
We experimentally demonstrate the use of a multi-plane light converter (MPLC) as a non-mode selective (de)multiplexer for converting Hermite-Gaussian (HG) modes into a Hadamard matrix of fundamental Gaussian spots and vice versa.

Electroactive Liquid Crystal Elastomers as Soft Actuators

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Electroactive liquid crystal elastomers (eLCEs) can be actuated via electromechanical, electrochemical, or electrothermal effects. a) Electromechanical effects include Maxwell stress, electrostriction, and the electroclinic effect. b) Electrochemical effects arise from electrode redox reactions.

Three‐dimensional Antimony Sulfide Based Flat Optics

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
This work presents the development of a grayscale electron beam lithography (g‐EBL) method for fabricating antimony trisulfide (Sb2S3) nanostructures with customizable 3D profiles. The refractive index of g‐EBL patterned Sb2S3 is determined based on the synergy of genetic algorithm and transfer matrix method.

Approximation Characteristics of Weighted Sobolev Spaces on Sphere in Different Settings

open access: yesAxioms
This article primarily examines the approximation properties of a weighted Sobolev space W2,κr defined on a sphere Sd−1 equipped with Gaussian measures. Specifically, this study focuses on both the average case and probabilistic case settings.

Bayesian model comparison for one-dimensional azimuthal correlations in 200GeV AuAu collisions

open access: yesEPJ Web of Conferences, 2016
In the context of data modeling and comparisons between different fit models, Bayesian analysis calls that model best which has the largest evidence, the prior-weighted integral over model parameters of the likelihood function.

Spatial risk measure for gaussian processes

open access: yes, 2016
In this paper, we study the quantitative behavior of a spatial risk measure corresponding to a damage function and a region, taking into account the spatial dependence of the underlying process. This kind of risk measure has already been introduced and studied for some max-stable processes in [Koch2015].
