Tales From the Chalkface: Using Narratives to Explore Agency, Resilience, and Identity of Gay Teachers

open access: yesFrontiers in Sociology, 2020
Existing literature is dominated by accounts which position gay teachers as victims. We were concerned that this only presented a partial insight into the experiences of gay teachers.

Imaging of Lipid Droplets in Living Cells and Mice with Metabolic Dysfunction‐Associated Steatotic Liver Disease via a Galactose‐Modified Supramolecular Near‐Infrared Fluorescent Glycoprobe

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
A galactose‐modified supramolecular near‐infrared (NIR) glycoprobe, TCF‐FBN@Gal‐BSA, enables targeted delivery to the liver through the asialoglycoprotein receptor (ASGPR) and facilitates liver‐targeting fluorescence visualization of lipid droplets (LDs) in metabolic dysfunction‐associated steatotic liver disease (MASLD) mice.

Research as Interacting Dialogic Processes: Implications for Reflexivity

open access: yesForum: Qualitative Social Research, 2002
Research within a postmodern frame moves us into arenas where subjectivity is both assumed and appreciated. This framework provides an opportunity to attend to how subjectivity (of researcher[s] and of research participants) and inter-subjectivity ...

Dynamic Networks via Polymerizable Deep Eutectic Monomers for Uniform Li+ Transport at Interfaces in Lithium Metal Batteries

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
The PDEM‐based SIGPE provides a dynamic nanophase from Li+‐bridged molecular self‐association, enhancing electrochemical stability and facilitating uniform Li+ ion flux at the interface. This unique solvation structure results in a hetero species‐driven inorganic‐rich SEI and long‐term cycle stability, suggesting that a PFAS‐free Li+‐containing monomer

Effects of Gay-Themed Advertising among Young Heterosexual Adults from U.S. and South Korea

open access: yesSocial Sciences, 2019
Little research has been conducted to explain the effects of gay-themed advertising in a cross-cultural context. Such research has been particularly scarce in South Korea. This study is designed to investigate the effects of cultural orientation, gender,

Enhancing Low‐Temperature Performance of Sodium‐Ion Batteries via Anion‐Solvent Interactions

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
DOL is introduced into electrolytes as a co‐solvent, increasing slat solubility, ion conductivity, and the de‐solvent process, and forming an anion‐rich solvent shell due to its high interaction with anion. With the above virtues, the batteries using this electrolyte exhibit excellent cycling stability at low temperatures. Abstract Sodium‐ion batteries

Ionic Metal Poly(heptazine Imides) and Single‐Atoms Interplay: Engineered Stability and Performance for Photocatalysis, Photoelectrocatalysis and Organic Synthesis

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Poly(heptazine) imides (PHIs), a crystalline carbon nitride subclass, intercalate metals to deliver high stability, tunable electronics, and efficient charge separation. These features enable solar‐driven applications such as hydrogen evolution, CO₂ reduction, and organic synthesis.

Ultrafast Energy Transfer Induced Lasing From a Coplanar Donor‐Acceptor‐Donor Molecule in a Microspherical Cavity

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
This study presents a novel donor‐bridge‐acceptor‐bridge‐donor (D‐B‐A‐B‐D) molecular system, which shows near‐unity intramolecular excitation energy transfer (IET) from two identical energy donors to a coplanar acceptor. It enables a four‐level energy system for efficient lasing at the acceptor emission band in a microspherical cavity with a low lasing
