A Fast and Highly Stable Aqueous Calcium‐Ion Battery for Sustainable Energy Storage
Aqueous batteries provide a low‐cost, safer alternative to lithium‐ion batteries, but their viability is often limited by rapid electrode degradation. This study shows that replacing K+ with divalent Ca2+ ions in the electrolyte significantly boosts the stability of both copper hexacyanoferrate cathodes and polyimide anodes, enabling fast‐charging ...

Gaze behavioral patterns during table tennis forehand rallies
This study aimed to clarify gaze behavioral patterns of skilled table tennis players during forehand rallies. Collegiate male table tennis players (n = 7) conducted forehand rallies at a constant tempo (100, 120, or 150 beats per minute) using a metronome. For each tempo condition, the participants performed 30 strokes (three conditions).

Food‐Related Attentional Biases in Restrained Eaters: A Meta‐Analysis
ABSTRACT Objective Dietary restraint may contribute to the development and maintenance of eating disorders (EDs), with food‐related attentional biases (ABs) as a key underlying mechanism. We examined associations between dietary restraint and ABs and explored how several methodological factors (i.e., AB mechanism, mode of AB investigation, response ...

Gaze Behavior Reveals Expectations of Potential Scene Changes
Even if the scene before our eyes remains static for some time, we might explore it differently compared with how we examine static images, which are commonly used in studies on visual attention. Here we show experimentally that the top-down expectation of changes in natural scenes causes clearly distinguishable gaze behavior for visually identical ...

Gaze detection as a social cue to initiate natural human-robot collaboration in an assembly task
Introduction: In this work we explore a potential approach to improve human-robot collaboration experience by adapting cobot behavior based on natural cues from the operator. Methods: Inspired by the literature on human-human interactions, we conducted a ...

Abstract Objective Epilepsy surgery is an effective treatment option for patients with medically refractory epilepsy due to mild malformation of cortical development with oligodendroglial hyperplasia (MOGHE). The success of surgery depends on the accurate localization of the epileptogenic zone, which can be challenging due to the subtle imaging ...

Focal seizures during simulated driving: A pilot study
Abstract Cars are increasingly equipped with technology that can be used to analyze driver behavior and alertness, often referred to as driver monitoring systems (DMS). Although initially mainly used to track drivers' attention, DMS are now expanding in the hope of detecting additional forms of driver impairment that may jeopardize driving, such as ...
