3D Gaze tracking by combining eye- and facial-gaze vectors

The Journal of Supercomputing, 2016
We propose a 3D gaze-tracking method that combines accurate 3D eye- and facial-gaze vectors estimated from a Kinect v2 high-definition face model. Using accurate 3D facial and ocular feature positions, gaze positions can be calculated more accurately than with previous methods.

A Multi-Modal Gaze Tracking Algorithm

Journal of Circuits, Systems and Computers, 2020
A person’s emotional information, needs and cognitive processes can be described by eye movement states and concerns, so gaze tracking was first applied in the field of psychology. With the continuous development of information technology, the application range of gaze tracking has expanded from psychology to medical, military, commercial and many ...

Eye Gaze Tracking

2009 IEEE-RIVF International Conference on Computing and Communication Technologies, 2009
The problem of eye gaze tracking has been researched and developed for a long time. Most of them use intrusive techniques to estimate the gaze of a person. This paper presents a non-intrusive approach for eye gaze tracker in real time with a simple camera.

Mobile Three Dimensional Gaze Tracking

2011
Mobile eyetracking is a recent method enabling research on attention during real-life behavior. With the EyeSeeCam, we have recently presented a mobile eye-tracking device, whose camera-motion device (gazecam) records movies orientated in user's direction of gaze.

A calibration-free gaze tracking technique

Proceedings 15th International Conference on Pattern Recognition. ICPR-2000, 2002
We propose a novel method to estimate and track the 3D line of sight of a person based on 3D computer vision techniques. Most of the existing nonintrusive gaze tracking methods share a common drawback that users have to perform certain experiments in calibrating the user-dependent parameters before using the gaze tracking systems.

Gaze tracking: A sclera recognition approach

2009 IEEE International Conference on Systems, Man and Cybernetics, 2009
Gaze tracking is the complex process of detecting where a person is looking. In this paper, we present a gaze tracking system that estimates the eye gaze by using a stable reference point created through the extraction of the sclera — otherwise known as the “whites” of the eye.

Gaze tracking with particle swarm optimization

2015 International Symposium on Consumer Electronics (ISCE), 2015
In order to develop the next generation of gaze tracking system that can operate under visible lighting conditions, the difficulty of estimating limbus circle in real time needs to be solved. The iris model-based approaches excel the feature-based ones, but high computation complexity remains a problem.

Eye gaze tracking for a humanoid robot

2015 IEEE-RAS 15th International Conference on Humanoid Robots (Humanoids), 2015
Humans use eye gaze in their daily interaction with other humans. Humanoid robots, on the other hand, have not yet taken full advantage of this form of implicit communication. In this paper we present a passive monocular gaze tracking system implemented on the iCub humanoid robot.

Gaze tracking as a game input interface

2011 16th International Conference on Computer Games (CGAMES), 2011
The purpose of this paper is to present current findings as well as previous work in the field of gaze tracking and propose developing methods of applying them in games with the purpose of enhancing the gameplay experience. First, eye-tracking as a technology and historical aspects of it are briefly presented.

Gaze tracking in multi-display environment

2013 6th International Conference on Human System Interactions (HSI), 2013
This paper presents the basic ideas of eye and gaze tracking in multiple-display environment. The algorithm for display detection and identification is described as well as the rules for gaze interaction in multi display environment. The core of the method is to use special LED markers and eye and scene tracking glasses. Scene tracking camera registers
