New Procedure for the Determination of 3-Nitrotyrosine in Plasma by GC–ECD
Chromatographia, 2009A method suitable for the determination of 3-nitrotyrosine, a well known marker of nitro-oxidative stress, in plasma by GC–ECD has been investigated. After deproteinisation, SPE and LC separation, 3-nitrotyrosine was derivatised by a single-step procedure to the corresponding N-heptafluorobutyryl heptafluorobutyl ester and analysed.

Analysis of PCBs in Biotic Matrices by Two-Dimensional GC-ECD
International Journal of Environmental Analytical Chemistry, 1995The suitability of three GC-ECD systems for the separation of a model mixture containing various congeners of PCBs together with persistent chlorinated aromatics (pesticides and their metabolites, industrial chemicals) was tested. Analyses were performed on two parallel capillaries, the stationary phase of one of them was always in routine practice ...

Residue Analysis of Fluroxypyr-meptyl in Wheat and Soil by GC–ECD
Chromatographia, 2011A simple and reliable analytical method for fluroxypyr-meptyl residues in wheat and soil was established. The residual levels and dissipation rates of this pesticide in wheat and soil were determined by gas chromatography with electron capture detector (GC–ECD). Samples of wheat grains and soil were extracted with methanol–water, and then liquid–liquid

Determination of Organochlorine Pesticide Residues in Sesame Seeds by GC-ECD
Chromatographia, 2009A method for the multiresidue analysis of 12 organochlorine pesticides in sesame seeds has been developed. The organochlorine residues in the seeds were first extracted by accelerated solvent extraction and the extract subjected to gel permeation chromatography to remove larger molecular weight materials such as proteins and waxes. The purified extract

[Determination of dimethyl sulphate in environmental samples with GC-ECD].
Sichuan da xue xue bao. Yi xue ban = Journal of Sichuan University. Medical science edition, 2011To develop an gas chromatography-electrophoretic capture detection (GC-ECD)method for determining dimethyl sulphate (DMS) in environmental samples. The environmental samples were dissolved with acetone and the DMS was reacted with KI. The reaction product of methyl iodide was extracted with Hexane and determined by GC-ECD, with HP-5 (30.0 m x 0.32 mm x ...

GC-ECD evaluation of dicofol toxicity to tropicalAstyanax bimaculatus schubarti
Chromatographia, 1996Evaluation of the toxicity of Dicofol was carried out onAstyanax bimaculatus schubarti, a characteristic fish species living in tropical rivers and lakes. Experiments were under laboratory controlled conditions with atmospheric air flow and dilution water at 25°C in the static mode.

This paper describes the optimisation of a PSS injector in a gas chromatograph with a programmed pneumatic control (PPC) for the determination of 21 organochlorine pesticides. The injection of high volumes of sample (20 microl) improves the detection limits and allows a reduction in the amount of sample processed. The injection conditions were selected

Determination of OCDD and OCDF in Soils and Biological Samples by GC/ECD
1991This paper describes advancements in the gas chromatography-electron capture detector (GC/ECD) determination of octachlorodibenzodioxin (OCDD) and octachlorodibenzofuran (OCDF). OCDD and OCDF (OCDD/F) serve as markers or surrogates for the more toxic polychlorinated dibenzodioxins and dibenzofurans (PCDD/Fs).

Pesticide Residues Determination in Vegetables from Romania by GC-ECD
2009Pesticide use raises a number of environmental concerns. Over 98% of sprayed insecticides and 95% of herbicides reach a destination other than their target species, including non-target species, air, water, bottom sediments and food. Pesticide drift occurs when pesticides suspended in the air as particles are carried by wind to other areas, potentially
