Analytical Method Development for the Determination of Α-Endosulfan and Bifenthrin Pesticide Residues in Tea

open access: yesIndonesian Journal of Chemistry, 2014
The development of analytical method for the determination of α-endosulfan and bifenthrin residues in tea has been done. The complex matrices and also the pigment were the challenge in doing quantification of the pesticide residues in tea matrices.

The impact of process variables on the removal of PBDEs and NPEOs during simulated activated sludge treatment [PDF]

open access: yes, 2007
Sewage effluent is known to be a major source of endocrine disrupting compounds entering the aquatic environment. More efficient wastewater treatment could reduce the environmental load but, in order to achieve this factors determining compound behaviour

First 20 Years of Orbitrap Mass Spectrometry as the Mainstream Analytical Technique

open access: yesMass Spectrometry Reviews, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT This review traces the first 20 years of Orbitrap mass spectrometry as a mainstream high‑resolution and accurate‑mass (HR/AM) technology. It outlines the historical development of the Orbitrap analyzer, the evolution of major instrument families, and the key technological innovations that enabled its widespread adoption. Particular emphasis is

Integrating DynamiCROP model and risk assessment for pesticide residues in spinach: Implications for food safety

open access: yesPest Management Science, EarlyView.
This study adapted and validated the dynamiCROP model for spinach, a leafy vegetable not previously included in its standard framework. The findings confirm that model‐predicted pesticide concentrations, when integrated into hazard quotient (HQ) calculations, can effectively support dietary risk assessment.

A simple method for determination of deoxynivalenol in cereals and flours

open access: yesCzech Journal of Food Sciences, 2002
An effective and fast method for determination of deoxynivalenol (DON) in cereals and flours has been developed. The immunoaffinity column was used for the isolation of DON from wheat, corn, rice and flour extract.

Heterogeneous Multilayer Nanopores via Chemically Tuned Dielectric Breakdown for Single‐Molecule Sensing

open access: yesSmall, EarlyView.
A scalable fabrication method based on chemically tuned controlled dielectric breakdown (CT‐CDB) enables heterogeneous multilayer nanopores integrating SiNx with 2D materials such as hBN, MoS2, and graphene. The resulting nanopores exhibit distinct electrokinetic behaviors and low noise, allowing structure‐dependent single‐protein sensing.

Determination of Nitroaromatic, Nitramine, and Nitrate Ester Explosives in Soils Using GC-ECD [PDF]

open access: yes, 1999
Abstract : Nitroaromatic, nitramine, and nitrate ester explosives are analytes of interest for hazardous waste site characterization and land mine detection. Traditionally determined by high-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC), these thermally labile analytes may be determined by gas chromatography (GC) by using direct injection into a deactivated
