Heliospheric current sheet and GCR modulation in 1976–2007
Bulletin of the Russian Academy of Sciences: Physics, 2009The correlation between the GCR intensity and the tilt of the heliospheric current sheet (HCS) during three solar cycles is considered. The correlation coefficients for the periods of decreasing and increasing intensity have been calculated, and the time lag of the GCR variations delay relative to changes in the HCS tilt has been determined.

2019 2nd World Symposium on Communication Engineering (WSCE), 2019
In this paper, we propose an adaptive modulation method for IEEE 802.11aa GCR Block Ack. The method is based on AARF to reduce the transfer delay of all receiver terminals. Generally, in order to enable all receiver terminals to receive data, communication speed and the number of retransmissions are adjusted to a receiver terminal with the worst ...

The effect of magnetic reconnection on ICME-related GCR modulation
2023The large-scale magnetic structure of interplanetary coronal mass ejections (ICMEs) has been shown to cause temporary decreases in the galactic cosmic ray (GCR) flux measured in situ by spacecraft, known as Forbush decreases (Fds). In some ICMEs, the magnetic ejecta exhibits a magnetic flux rope structure; the strong magnetic field strength and closed ...

2D Stochastic Monte Carlo to evaluate the modulation of GCR for inner and outer solar system planets
Astroparticle, Particle and Space Physics, Detectors and Medical Physics Applications, 2008We developed a 2D Stochastic Monte Carlo model for Cosmic Rays propagation in the Heliosphere. The model solves numerically the transport equation of particles in the heliosphere, including major processes affecting the heliospheric particle transport: diffusion, convection, adiabatic energy losses and drift of particles.

Daily values of the solar SXR background and modulation of GCRs (1987, 1988, 1990 and 1992)
Advances in Space Research, 1995We present here the results of the intercorrelation analysis between the daily Calgary Galactic Cosmic Ray intensity values (CNI) and daily solar SXR background (XBG - unresolved full-sun SXR GOES flux). The anticorrelation between CNI and XBG is statistically significant for 1987, 1988 and 1992 sequences.

The activity of the Sun modulates the fluxes of galactic cosmic rays arriving at Earth. This heliospheric modulation of cosmic rays is often quantified by the modulation potential, which describes the average energy loss of particles during their transport in the heliosphere. The modulation potential is a useful parameter not only for understanding the
