A Novel Gd-DTPA-conjugated Poly(L-γ-glutamyl-glutamine)-paclitaxel Polymeric Delivery System for Tumor Theranostics [PDF]

open access: yesScientific Reports, 2017
The conventional chemotherapeutics could not be traced in vivo and provide timely feedback on the clinical effectiveness of drugs. In this study, poly(L-γ-glutamyl-glutamine)-paclitaxel (PGG-PTX), as a model polymer, was chemically conjugated with Gd ...

Qualitative assessment of EOB-GD-DTPA and Gd-BT-DO3A MR contrast studies in HCC patients and colorectal liver metastases [PDF]

open access: yesInfectious Agents and Cancer, 2019
Aim To compare liver-specific EOB-GD-DTPA and liver-non-specific Gd-BT-DO3A MR, in hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) and liver colorectal metastases. Material and methods Seventy HCC patients with 158 nodules and 90 colorectal liver metastases (mCRC) with ...

Gd-DTPA relaxivity depends on macromolecular content [PDF]

open access: yesMagnetic Resonance in Medicine, 2000
Gd-DTPA T(1) relaxivity of water protons was measured at 1.5 T and room temperature as a function of macromolecular content in model systems. Gd-DTPA relaxivity was found to increase with macromolecular concentration. The results of this study indicate that the Gd-DTPA relaxivity in tissue extracellular compartment could be as much as 30-70% higher ...

Gd-DTPA Adsorption on Chitosan/Magnetite Nanocomposites. [PDF]

open access: yesNanoscale Res Lett, 2016
The synthesis of the chitosan/magnetite nanocomposites is presented. Composites were prepared by co-precipitation of iron(II) and iron(III) salts by aqueous ammonia in the 0.1 % chitosan solution. It was shown that magnetite synthesis in the chitosan medium does not affect the magnetite crystal structure.

[Fe-EOB-tCDTA] generates strong contrast in the blood but not in the liver, despite inhibiting cellular [Gd-EOB-DTPA]2- uptake and partial liver excretion [PDF]

open access: yesEuropean Radiology Experimental
Objective Iron-based contrast agents (IBCAs) have potential as alternatives to Gd-based contrast agents (GBCAs), intending to address the long-term safety concerns associated with gadolinium.

A case report of gadopentetate dimeglumine‐induced cardiac arrest: Resuscitation using extracorporeal membrane oxygenation

open access: yesAnnals of Noninvasive Electrocardiology, 2023
Gadopentetate dimeglumine (Gd‐DTPA) is commonly used for enhancement in magnetic resonance imaging, but rarely causes serious adverse reactions. The patient presented in this report had a cardiac arrest and multiple organ dysfunction syndrome within a ...

Long-Term Treatment with Gadopentetic Acid or Gadodiamide Increases TRPC5 Expression and Decreases Adriamycin Nuclear Accumulation in Breast Cancer Cells

open access: yesCells, 2023
Gadopentetic acid and gadodiamide are paramagnetic gadolinium-based contrast agents (GBCAs) that are routinely used for dynamic contrast-enhanced magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) to monitor disease progression in cancer patients.
