Too Hot to Profit? Climatic Stress and Farm‐Level Performance in Italian Viticulture
ABSTRACT This paper investigates the economic impact of long‐run climatic conditions on Italian wine farms by applying a Ricardian framework to 1431 firms from the 2022 RICA‐FADN survey. We combine farm‐level revenues with viticulture‐specific agroclimatic indicators to assess how climate stress shapes profitability across 77 Italian NUTS3 provinces ...

GDD desde dentro: mitos e realidades
While GDD (Global Development and Delivery) is becoming a way of life, this thesis represents a wide range of conclusions. However, GDD is technologically and organizationally complex and presents a variety of challenges to be managed by the software development team.

This study predicted the distribution of Pseudorasbora parva, covering the ensemble model, global scale, and climate change. The overall trend shows that the potential suitable areas of P. parva will further expand, with high‐latitude or high‐altitude regions becoming more conducive to its survival.

ABSTRACT Accurate evaluation of maize performance across diverse environments is essential for improving yield stability and cultivar adaptation under a changing climate. However, conventional breeding approaches often struggle to address multi‐trait trade‐offs and complex genotype‐by‐environment (G × E) interactions while explicitly incorporating ...

Antler characteristics are influenced by a combination of genetics, age, and environmental factors, notably habitat quality and resource availability. In this study, we explored how diverse environmental factors, including climate and land cover composition, affect antler size, tine configuration, and the distribution of record‐scoring white‐tailed ...

Growing degree‐days do not explain moth species' distributions at broad scales
Growing degree‐days (GDD), an estimate of an organism's growing season length, has been shown to be an important predictor of Lepidopteran species' distributions and could be influencing Lepidopteran range shifts to climate change.

Solar parks enable renewable energy production at a large scale, thereby reducing greenhouse gas emissions. However, the effects of this change in land use on vegetation and soil health are still largely unknown. In this study, we determined the impacts of solar parks on vegetation, soil biota and soil carbon between and below solar panels.
