Targeting USP1 Potentiates Radiation‐Induced Type I IFN‐Dependent Antitumor Immunity by Enhancing Oligo‐Ubiquitinated SAR1A‐Mediated STING Trafficking and Activation

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Targeting USP1 is identified as a strategy that significantly enhances type I IFN‐dependent innate immune response within the TME following radiotherapy. Mechanistically, USP1 inhibition facilitates STING trafficking from ER to Golgi by preserving K27‐linked oligo‐ubiquitination of SAR1A, thereby facilitating efficient activation of the dsDNA‐cGAS ...

3‐[3‐(Phenalkylamino)cyclohexyl]phenols: Synthesis, biological activity, and in silico investigation of a naltrexone‐derived novel class of MOR‐antagonists

open access: yesArchiv der Pharmazie, Volume 356, Issue 1, January 2023., 2023
Based on a simplified version of the morphinan scaffold, 3‐[3‐(phenalkylamino)cyclohexyl]phenol analogues were designed, synthesized and evaluated for their µ‐opioid receptor (MOR) antagonist activity in vitro and in silico. Docking studies indicate a peculiar combination of C‐1 stereochemistry and N‐substitutions as feasibly essential for MOR‐ligand ...

CBO\u27s 2011 Long-Term Projections for Social Security: Infographic [PDF]

open access: yes, 2011
[Excerpt] By 2035, the growing number of beneficiaries due to the aging of the baby-boom generation will cause scheduled spending to climb to 6.1 percent of GDP, CBO estimates. However, there is uncertainty inherent in CBO\u27s projections; in 10 percent

Chaos in GDP

open access: yesActa Polytechnica, 2011
This paper presents an analysis of GDP and finds chaos in GDP. I tried to find a nonlinear lower-dimensional discrete dynamic macroeconomic model that would characterize GDP. This model is represented by a set of differential equations. I have used the Mathematica and MS Excel programs for the analysis.

Accumulation of Damaging Lipids in the Arf1‐Ablated Neurons Promotes Neurodegeneration through Releasing mtDNA and Activating Inflammatory Pathways in Microglia

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Arf1 defects activate the AKT‐mTORC1‐SREBP1‐FASN pathway to increase lipid synthesis and disrupt ER‐mitochondrial‐lysosomal homeostasis in neurons. Impaired mitochondria secrete damaged mtDNA via mitochondria‐derived extracellular vesicles, which is phagocytosed by the microglia and activated inflammation signaling.

MTCH2 Suppresses Thermogenesis by Regulating Autophagy in Adipose Tissue

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study demonstrates that MTCH2 acts as an evolutionarily conserved regulator of energy homeostasis across Drosophila, rodents, and humans. Adipose‐specific MTCH2 ablation enhances brown/beige adipose thermogenesis through Bcl‐2‐dependent autophagy, promoting energy expenditure and counteracting obesity‐associated metabolic disorders. These findings
