Spectral photosensitivity of diffused Ge-p–i–n photodiods

open access: yesTekhnologiya i Konstruirovanie v Elektronnoi Apparature, 2020
Laser rangefinders are widely used to measure distances for various civil and military purposes, as well as in rocket and space technology. The optical channel of such rangefinders uses high-speed p–i–n, or avalanche, photodiodes based on Si, Ge or ...

Belligerent Fuzzy GE‐Filters on GE‐Algebras

open access: yesJournal of Mathematics, 2022
In this paper, the concept of belligerent fuzzy GE‐filter of GE‐algebra is introduced. The relationship between a fuzzy GE‐filter of GE‐algebra and a belligerent fuzzy GE‐filter of GE‐algebra is given. Further, it is shown that a finite product (union) of belligerent fuzzy GE‐filters of GE‐algebras is a belligerent fuzzy GE‐filter of the finite product

Elitable GE-filters of bordered GE-algebras

open access: yesSoft Computing, 2022
AbstractIn this paper, the notions of maximal GE-filter and prime GE-filter of a GE-algebra are introduced and the relation between them is given. Some characterizations of prime GE-filters of a transitive GE-algebra are given in terms of the GE-filter generated by a subset of a transitive GE-algebra.

Macro and Microscopic Gastroprotective Effects of Grape Seed Extract on the Gastric Ulcer Experimentally Induced by Alcohol

open access: yesArchives of Pharmaceutical Sciences Ain Shams University, 2020
Alcohol administration has been widely correlated with gastric injuries involving gastric ulcers. Grape seed extract (GSE) is a rich source of phenolics and flavonoids with marked antioxidant and anti-inflammatory characteristics that might give it a ...

In situ process quality monitoring and defect detection for direct metal laser melting

open access: yesScientific Reports, 2022
Quality control and quality assurance are challenges in direct metal laser melting (DMLM). Intermittent machine diagnostics and downstream part inspections catch problems after undue cost has been incurred processing defective parts.

Streamlining counterfactual ecosystem restoration and conservation impact evaluation in R with the spatialBACI package [PDF]

open access: yesBiodiversity Data Journal
Before-after-control-impact (BACI) assessments are crucial in determining effectiveness of ecosystem conservation and restoration actions. This type of analysis can strongly benefit from earth observation and other geospatial datasets.

Repeat and single dose administration of gadodiamide to rats to investigate concentration and location of gadolinium and the cell ultrastructure

open access: yesScientific Reports, 2021
Gadolinium based contrast agents (GBCA) are used to image patients using magnetic resonance (MR) imaging. In recent years, there has been controversy around gadolinium retention after GBCA administration.

A Data Augmentation Pipeline to Generate Synthetic Labeled Datasets of 3D Echocardiography Images Using a GAN

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2022
Due to privacy issues and limited amount of publicly available labeled datasets in the domain of medical imaging, we propose an image generation pipeline to synthesize 3D echocardiographic images with corresponding ground truth labels, to alleviate the ...

3D reconstruction of skin and spatial mapping of immune cell density, vascular distance and effects of sun exposure and aging

open access: yesCommunications Biology, 2023
Mapping the human body at single cell resolution in three dimensions (3D) is important for understanding cellular interactions in context of tissue and organ organization. 2D spatial cell analysis in a single tissue section may be limited by cell numbers
