Geastrum lloydianum Rick [as ‘Geaster’], Brotéria, sér. bot. 5: 27 (1906) Description:— Trierveiler-Pereira et al. (2011: 581) Habitat and distribution:—Specimens were collected on sandy soil in fragments of secondary upland forest, a successional type of lowland ombrophilous dense forest. It is known from Tropical America (Ponce de León 1968).

Geastrum berkeleyi in Czechoslovakia.
Česká Mykologie, 1987Examination of the Geastrum berkeleyi complex suggests high variability, rendering recognition of additional species or varieties taxonomically unjustified. In Czechoslovakia, the species is known from only eight localities, all in the thermophytic region.

Geastrum lilloi sp. nov. from Argentina
Mycologia, 1996A new species is described, Geastrum lilloi, from Argentina. It belongs to the subsection Epigaea, with xylophilus and gregarious habit within a subi- culum, is epigean even in young stages, and has a flat peristome, which is a simple hole.
