The effect of oil palm agriculture on forest macrofungal biodiversity is so far understudied. We quantified macrofungal biodiversity in peat swamp forest, plantation, and smallholding. We concluded that peat swamp forests are irreplaceable with respect to macrofungal biodiversity.
