Gel Permeation Chromatography of Polyoxymethylene

Journal of Liquid Chromatography, 1990
Abstract The method of universal calibration was applied for polyoxymethylene in gel permeation chromatography. Successful molecular weight distribution curves were obtained for polyoxymethylene from chromatograms. Further, the weight average molecular weights from gel permeation chromatography were in good agreement with those from light scattering.

Gel permeation chromatography of alkylbenzenes

Journal of Chromatography A, 1975
Abstract Elution volumes relative to the elution volume of benzene were investigated in the gel chromatography of alkylbenzenes, benzene derivatives with condensed rings and benzene derivatives containing an alkyl side-chain. The dependence of the relative elution volume on the number of substituents and on the total number of alkyl carbon atoms was ...

Fractionation of asphaltenes by gel permeation chromatography

, 1965
Asphaltenes from three asphalts of very diverse service properties were fractionated by gel permeation chromatography (GPC) on crosslinked polystyrene gels. Broad molecular weight distributions were found spanning from 700 to more than 40,000.

Gel permeation chromatography: A guide to data interpretation

, 1973
The importance of data produced by gel permeation chromatography (GPC) in polymer engineering is emphasized. The steps involved in deriving a differential molecular weight distribution curve (dMWD) from the chromatogram obtained by GPC are outlined. Each

Gel permeation chromatography of asphalts and asphaltenes. Part I. Fractionation procedure

, 1965
The experimental details of fractionation by gel permeation chromatography (GPC) of asphalts and asphalt constituents are given. Gel preparation, column design, and packing procedure as well as sample preparation are described at some length ...

Gel permeation chromatography of silicones

Journal of Chromatography A, 1971
Abstract The utility of gel permeation chromatography to characterize silicone materials is presented. Distribution profiles and analytical parameters are described for a wide variety of commercially available silicone fluids, gums and formulated compounds.

Effect of temperature and polymer type on gel permeation chromatography

, 1967
A series of polyisobutene and polystyrene fractions was subjected to gel-permeation chromatography at 150°C. The two types resulted in distinctly different calibration curves in a plot of projected, extended chain length versus elution volume.

Exclusion Chromatography Gel Permeation Chromatography

1979
In contrast to the separation techniques discussed up to now, separation by exclusion chromatography involves a single, unambiguous mechanism. In the absence of interactions (by definition) between the sample and the stationary phase surface, the elution order (or elution volume) is solely a function of the molecular size (see IX.B). Hence, this method
