Concentration effect in gel permeation chromatography

Journal of Chromatography A, 1978
Abstract Investigation of concentration effects in gel permeation chromatography has shown that the results depend on the efficiency of the column. The shape of elution curves, especially those of completely excluded macromolecules, is strongly dependent on the concentration of the injected polymer solution.

Column fractionation of polymers. VII. Computer program for determination of molecular weight distributions from gel permeation chromatography

, 1966
Gel permeation chromatography produces a type of differential molecular weight distribution directly and rapidly. Conversion of these data to conventional molecular weight distributions and plots of distributions is time-consuming.

Lignin gels as a medium in gel permeation chromatography

Journal of Applied Polymer Science, 1977
The preparation of spherical lignin gel beads, based on the crosslinking reaction between epichlorohydrin and kraft lignin (Indulin AT), is described. The lignin gels prepared were found to be an efficient resin in gel permeation chromatography. The separation of polystyrenes in dimethylformamide is described.

Multiple detectors for molecular weight and composition analysis of copolymers by gel permeation chromatography

, 1969
The use of a single detector in gel permeation chromatography (GPC) for samples of varying composition leads to erroneous conclusions. With certain simplifying assumptions, a gel permeation chromatograph equipped with properly selected dual detectors ...

Characterization of homopolymers and copolymers by the coupling of gel permeation chromatography and automatic viscometry

, 1972
An improvement in gel permeation chromatography for polymer characterization has been effected by combining it with an automatic viscometric technique.

Comments on exclusion of polymer chains from small pores and its relation to gel permeation chromatography.

Macromolecules, 1976
Some criticisms of our theoretical treatment of the partial exclusion of flexible-chain polymers in solution from cavities of macromolecular size and its application to gel permeation chromatography are examined.

Gel permeation chromatography of maltosaccharides on polyacrylamide gel

Journal of Chromatography A, 1976
Abstract Gel permeation chromatography of maltooligosaccharides of various structures has been carried out on a column of Bio-Gel P-2 and on a multicolumn system of Bio-Gel P-2 and P-6 at elevated temperature. The compounds examined are linear and singly branched maltooligosaccharides prepared enzymatically from starch, multiply branched ...

Gel Permeation Chromatography: Gel Preparation and Packing Technique

Nature, 1967
SINCE the original publication by Moore1, gel permeation chromatography has been widely recognized as a rapid means of assessing the molecular weight distributions of polymeric materials soluble in organic solvents. While the use of this technique, principally based on the reliable commercial instrument2, is well established, reference in published ...

Development of Comprehensive Two-Dimensional High Temperature Liquid Chromatography × Gel Permeation Chromatography for Characterization of Polyolefins.

, 2010
This work documents the development of the title system wherein the first dimension is a separation of polyolefins, according to composition, via an adsorption mechanism on a HYPERCARB stationary p...
