Performance evaluation of PVdF gel polymer electrolytes
Ionics, 2002A series of gel polymer electrolytes containing PVdF as homo polymer, a mixture of 1:1 Ethylene Carbonate (EC) : Propylene Carbonate (PC) as plasticizer and lithium-bistrifluoromethane sulphone imide [imide — LiN (CF3SO2)2] has been developed. Amounts of polymer (PVdF), plasticizer and the imide lithium salt have been varied as a function of their ...

Studies on PVdF-based gel polymer electrolytes
Journal of Power Sources, 2000Abstract A complex of polymer, plasticizer and lithium salts can be used as a solid gel polymer electrolyte in lightweight and rechargeable lithium batteries. Considerable research has been directed towards the development of a gel polymer with high conductivity at room temperature.

Transport properties and microstructure of gel polymer electrolytes
Electrochimica Acta, 2000Abstract Gel polymer electrolytes based on a copolymer poly(vinylidene fluoride (VdF)/hexafluoropropylene (HFP)) and a solution of ethylene carbonate (EC), diethyl carbonate (DEC) and as a salt LiN(CF 3 SO 2 ) 2 were prepared by changing the content of the polymer in the range 20–80 wt%. The effects of changing the salt concentration in the solution

Gel polymer electrolytes for lithium-sulfur batteries
Materials Today: Proceedings, 2018Abstract Gel polymer electrolytes (GPE) consisting of a solution of lithium (trifluoromethane)sulfonimide (LiTFSI) dispersed in poly(vinylidene fluoride-co-hexafluoropropylene) (PVDF-HFP)/poly(methyl methacrylate) (PMMA)/poly(N-isopropylacrylamide) (PNIPAM) matrix were prepared.

Flammability (Flash point) of Gel Polymer Electrolytes
ECS Meeting AbstractsGel polymer electrolytes offer a promising pathway for the rapid commercialization of next-generation batteries. These electrolytes are composed of a polymeric matrix in which a solvent is trapped. The liquid component provides high ionic conductivity and favorable interfacial properties , while the polymeric matrix enhances electrolyte safety by ...

7Li NMR measurements of polymer gel electrolytes
Solid State Ionics, 2002Ion conducting polymer gels prepared from (ethylene oxide)n grafted methacrylates, ethylene carbonate (EC), gamma butyrolactone (gBL), and lithium hexafluorophosphate are studied by means of nuclear magnetic resonance spectroscopy. This study shows that there are at least two possible lithium sites with different mobility.

Polymer concentration dependence of the dynamics in gel electrolytes
Solid State Ionics, 2000A polymer gel electrolyte sample with a gradually varying concentration of polymer have been examined by Raman and photon correlation spectroscopy. The gel consisted of poly(methyl methacrylate) complexed with a liquid electrolyte of lithium perchlorate salt in an ethylene carbonate and propylene carbonate solution.
