The maximum‐likelihood analysis of a phylogenomic dataset of 1767 protein‐coding genes from 57 ingroup taxa yields a robust family‐level topology for Gelechioidea, revealing novel among‐family relationships. Integration of the phylogenomic dataset with the available taxon‐rich Sanger‐sequenced data provides insights into the monophyly of the 20 ...

The six‐step “morning flight–mating” behavioral sequence in Tuta absoluta is characterized by rhythmic behavior occurring from 05:30 to 08:00, with a peak from 05:30 to 06:30. This “morning flight–mating” rhythm in T. absoluta is regulated by the rhythmic release of sex pheromones.

ABSTRACT Shifting from conventional to sustainable agriculture demands well‐designed experiments and robust analytical models to evaluate agroecological system performance and resilience. We modelled aphid population dynamics in broccoli monocultures and broccoli‐basil intercrops using spatio‐temporal approaches, informed by laboratory experiments on ...

Revision of Holarctic Teleiodini (Lepidoptera: Gelechiidae)
The 25 genera of Teleiodini (Lepidoptera: Gelechiidae) occurring in the Holarctic Region are revised. A new genus and new species, Arcutelphusa talladega, are described from Alabama and Mississippi, United States. Evippe Chambers (1873a) is synonymized with Agnippe Chambers (1872a), Hapalosaris Meyrick (1917) is synonymized with Coleotechnites Chambers

The Gelechiidae of the Longarini salt marsh in the “Pantani della Sicilia Sud-Orientale” nature reserve in southeastern Sicily, Italy (Lepidoptera: Gelechiidae):Gelechiidae) [PDF]
The authors report the results of field research on Gelechiidae from the “Pantano Longarini” salt marsh (southeastern Sicily). The area is located inland to the “Pantani della Sicilia Sud-Orientale” regional nature reserve. A total of twenty-four species are recognized; among the recorded taxa Scrobipalpa peterseni (Povolny´, 1965) is new to Europe ...

A molecular analysis of the Gelechiidae (Lepidoptera, Gelechioidea) with an interpretative grouping of its taxa [PDF]
We re-examine the higher level phylogeny and evolutionary affinities of the family Gelechiidae (Lepidoptera: Gelechioidea) based on DNA sequence data for one mitochondrial gene (cytochrome c oxidase subunit I ) and seven nuclear genes(Elongation Factor ...
