A Unified Physically Based Model to Simulate Water and Carbohydrates Allocation Along the Soil‐Fruit Axis

open access: yesWater Resources Research, Volume 61, Issue 12, December 2025.
Abstract The primary objective of modern crop management is to enhance fruit sweetness and size while maximizing water and fertilizer efficiency. This requires optimizing irrigation to regulate soil‐plant‐atmosphere interactions and water fluxes.

Full decomposition of phenotypic variance in dichotomous traits: New methods and key implications for behaviour, demography and evolutionary ecology

open access: yesMethods in Ecology and Evolution, Volume 16, Issue 12, Page 2741-2759, December 2025.
Abstract Numerous traits that define behaviour, development, life‐history and species ecology are expressed as dichotomous alternative phenotypes (e.g. morphological and behavioural polyphenisms, reproductive vs. non‐reproductive states, movement vs. philopatry).

Examining the Relationship Between Dietary Glycemic Load (GL), Glycemic Index (GI), and the Odds of Diminished Ovarian Reserve: A Case–Control Study

open access: yesFood Science &Nutrition, Volume 13, Issue 7, July 2025.
The higher dietary glycemic index (GI) and glycemic load (GL) were significantly associated with indicators of diminished ovarian reserve (DOR), including reduced antral follicle count (AFC) and increased odds of DOR. These associations persisted even after controlling for key confounding variables such as physical activity, energy intake, fat mass (FM)

A simple model to predict the probability of a peach (Prunus persicae) tree bud to develop as a long or short shoot as a consequence of winter pruning intensity and previous year growth. [PDF]

open access: yesPLoS ONE, 2012
In many woody plants, shoots emerging from buds can develop as short or long shoots. The probability of a bud to develop as a long or short shoot relies upon genetic, environmental and management factors and controlling it is an important issue in ...
