Regulation of Immunoglobulin Gene Rearrangement
1989The ordered recombination of the immunoglobulin (Ig) heavy (H) and light (L) chain variable (V) region gene segments facilitates the analysis of early B-cell development. In the bone marrow the Ig VH gene elements are joined in two steps: first a diversity (D) segment recombines to a joining (JH) segment giving rise to a DJH element to which a VH ...

Cloning of a gene that is rearranged in patients with choroideraemia
Nature, 1990Choroideraemia (tapetochoroidal dystrophy, TCD), a common form of X-linked blindness, is characterized by progressive dystrophy of the choroid, retinal pigment epithelium and retina. Previous studies have assigned the TCD gene to a small segment of the Xq21 band.

TEL GENE REARRANGEMENTS IN MYELOID MALIGNANCY
Hematology/Oncology Clinics of North America, 1997The TEL gene is a recently described, "promiscuous" gene with a role in both myeloid and lymphoid malignancy. It is unusual since there may be more than one mechanism by which its rearrangement through chromosomal translocation is leukemogenic. This article discusses the four potential mechanisms of TEL-mediated transformation.
