Flavor-changing decays of fourth-generation quarkonium

Physical Review D, 1989
We evaluate the flavor-changing neutral-current decays {ital S}({ital v{bar v}}){r arrow}{ital c{bar t}},{ital t{bar c}},{ital a{bar t}},{ital t{bar a}} of the {ital S}-wave quarkonium states formed from the {ital Q}={minus}1/3 charge {ital v} quark of a fourth-generation quark doublet ({ital a},{ital v}).

Next-generation nucleon decay experiments

Nuclear Physics B - Proceedings Supplements, 2005
A recent status and future prospect of nucleon decay experiments are summarized. The most stringent limits on proton decays are given by the largest water Cerenkov detector, Super-Kamiokande. A lower limit on the partial lifetime of a proton is set at 5.4 × 1033 years for p → e+π0 at 90% C.L., and 2.2 × 1033 years for p → ν ¯ K + . A next

Rare Decays and the Fourth Generation

Annals of the New York Academy of Sciences, 1989
Rare decays are quite sensitive1 to physics beyond the Standard Model (SM), due to the effects of virtual, new, heavy particles (i.e., a fourth generation, SUSY, charged Higgs, E6 exotic fermions,…). These new contributions can either enhance or suppress (sometimes quite substantially) the rates for rare processes compared to the corresponding SM ...

Fourth generation and nucleon decay in supersymmetric theories

Physical Review D, 1987
Analysis of nucleon decay in N=1 supergravity unified models including the effect of a fourth generation of matter is given. Experimental constraints from nucleon-lifetime limits on the Kobayashi-Maskawa (KM) matrix that enters nucleon decay are obtained.

The generation and decay of vorticity

Geophysical & Astrophysical Fluid Dynamics, 1984
Abstract Vorticity, although not the primary variable of fluid dynamics, is an important derived variable playing both mathematical and physical roles in the solution and understanding of problems. The following treatment discusses the generation of vorticity at rigid boundaries and its subsequent decay.
