Generation and Production of Engineered Antibodies
Molecular Biotechnology, 2004Various forms of recombinant monoclonal antibodies are being used increasingly, mainly for therapeutic purposes. This review specifically focuses on what is now called antibody engineering, and discusses the generation of chimeric, humanized, and fully human recombinant antibodies, immunoglobulin fragments, and artificial antigen-binding molecules ...

Engineers of the next generation
Electrical Engineering, 1934As the social and economic significance of engineering becomes plainer every day, the world looks to the engineer of the future as a leader capable of shouldering broader social responsibilities. The organization of the Engineers Council for Professional Development is the first step in preparing the coming generation of engineers for the tasks ahead ...

A general examination of engineering design
Proceedings of the fifth annual 1968 design automation workshop on Design automation - DAC '68, 1968Engineering System Design has often been treated as an art. Successful practitioners, “old hands” in experience (and often years), produced satisfactory solutions to design problems using principles and rules of thumb which had evolved from many years of practice.Economic solution of the design of complex systems of our present-day industrialized ...

Towards a Generalized System for Generative Engineering
Proceedings of the 3rd International Conference on Applications of Intelligent Systems, 2020Product design based on mechanical performance requirements and with given boundary conditions is a frequent and demanding engineering problem. In most cases, effectiveness of the design is limited to expertise of the respective designer, which also results in inefficient and incomplete exploration of the product's design space.

THE NEXT GENERATION ROCKET ENGINES
Acta Astronautica, 1989Abstract This paper examines propulsion system technologies for earth-to-orbit vehicles, and describes several propulsion system concepts which could support the recommendations of the Commission for Space Development for the year 2000. The hallmark of that system must and will be reliability.

Torque generation model for diesel engine
42nd IEEE International Conference on Decision and Control (IEEE Cat. No.03CH37475), 2004In this paper a combustion model of direct injection diesel engine is proposed to calculate the in-cylinder pressure and a crank-slider mechanism model to calculate instantaneous indicated torque. The crankshaft is modelled as a rigid body. The parameters of both models are identified via non-linear least square optimization algorithm.

Automatic Generation of Search Engines
2006A plethora of enhancements are available to be used together with the αβ search algorithm. There are so many, that their selection and implementation is a non-trivial task, even for the expert. Every domain has its specifics which affect the search tree Even seemingly minute changes to an evaluation function can have an impact on the characteristics of

General Systems and Systems Engineering
IEEE Transactions on Systems Science and Cybernetics, 1966One of the main lines of thought in General Systems is the transfer of system concepts from one field to another. There has been fruitful application of such theoretical concepts from engineering to other fields such as biology. In this paper, an attempt is made to apply concepts from biology to the practice of systems engineering.
