General Non-equilibrium Theory of Colloid Dynamics

open access: yes, 2010
A non-equilibrium extension of Onsager's canonical theory of thermal fluctuations is employed to derive a self-consistent theory for the description of the statistical properties of the instantaneous local concentration profile n(r,t) of a colloidal ...

Physical interpretation of non-normalizable harmonic oscillator states and relaxation to pilot-wave equilibrium

open access: yesScientific Reports
Non-normalizable states are difficult to interpret in the orthodox quantum formalism but often occur as solutions to physical constraints in quantum gravity.

Evaluating Energy Absorption Performance of Filled Lattice Structures

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
Maximum stress must be considered to robustly evaluate energy absorber designs. This approach was applied to compare all types of absorbers in a single Ashby diagram and determine the utility of filling lattice voids with a second material. High‐performance fillers can improve the performance of lattices that are limited by buckling or catastrophic ...

PEMAHAMAN DASAR ANALISIS MODEL COMPUTABLE GENERAL EQUILIBRIUM (CGE)

open access: yesAgriekonomika, 2013
Simple paper about basic understanding of computable general equilibrium aimed to give basic understanding about CGE. It consist of history of CGE, assumption of CGE model, excess and lack of CGE model, and creation of simple CGE model for closed economy.

Pyramidal Structures on Yttria‐Stabilized Zirconia after High Temperature Exposure at 1500°C: New Features on an Old Material

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
New features on yttria‐stabilized zirconia after exposure at 1500°C: Newly discovered pyramidal structures on an old material. After exposure at 1550°C on the cross section of YSZ new features, namely pyramidal structures are discovered. These structures grow with time, increase in numbers, appear as singularities, are often arranged in strings, and ...

How to Formulate Non-Equilibrium Local States in QFT? --General Characterization and Extension to Curved Spacetime--

open access: yes, 2003
The essence of a general formulation to accommodate non-equilibrium local states in relativistic quantum field theory is explained from the viewpoint of comparison at a spacetime point between unknown generic states to be characterized as such states and

Interaction of MgO Recyclate‐Based Cermet Anode With KF‐AlF3‐Al2O3 at 800°C During Laboratory Scale Aluminum Molten Salt Electrolysis

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
A carbon‐free, as‐sintered MgO–steel cermet anode, fabricated via cold isostatic pressing using MgO–C refractory recyclate, was evaluated under laboratory‐scale K‐cryolite electrolysis at 800°C. Operation at this reduced temperature, combined with the electrolyte's limited electrical conductivity, led to an increase in cell voltage.

Slowed Relaxational Dynamics Beyond the Fluctuation-Dissipation Theorem

open access: yes, 2001
To describe the slow dynamics of a system out of equilibrium, but close to a dynamical arrest, we generalize the ideas of previous work to the case where time-translational invariance is broken.

Bounded Rational Players in a Symmetric Random Exchange Market

open access: yesMathematics
A model of Edgeworthian economies is studied, in which participants are randomly chosen at each period to exchange two goods to increase their utilities, as described by the Cobb–Douglas utility function.

Toward Low‐Consumable Anodes: Process Simulation and Prospective Life Cycle Assessment of NiFe2O4‐NiO‐Ni‐Cu vs. Prebaked Anodes for Aluminum Production with use of Molten Salt Electrolysis

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
Low‐consumable nickel ferrite‐based anodes for the Hall–Héroult process are compared with conventional prebaked carbon anodes using thermodynamic simulation and prospective life cycle assessment under contrasting future electricity system pathways from 2025 to 2050.
