Response Due to Concentrated Force in Micropolar Elastic Solid with Voids

open access: yesInternational Journal of Applied Mechanics and Engineering, 2014
The eigen value approach, following Laplace and Fourier transforms has been employed to find the general solution of the field equation in a micropolar elastic solid with voids for the plane strain problem.

From energy provision to protein synthesis: Tunnelling nanotubes as mediators of intercellular metabolic cooperation in cancer

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
The cytoskeleton‐mediated transport of mitochondria via tunnelling nanotubes restores respiration, increases ATP production, rescues cells from apoptosis, activates the AKT/mTOR signalling pathway, promotes cell migration and invasiveness, contributes to cancer progression and treatment resistance.

Yeast Gcn2 retains activity following humanization of its auto‐phosphorylation region

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Using Saccharomyces cerevisiae as a model to study Gcn2 activation and regulation is limited by the lack of antibodies detecting phosphorylated Gcn2. To overcome this, we engineered Gcn2‐HsC, a yeast Gcn2 variant recognizable by commercial anti‐human phospho‐GCN2 antibodies.

MagmaFlow: A desktop platform for artificial intelligence‐driven expression analysis

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
MagmaFlow is a free, no‐code platform for gene expression analysis. It generates interactive volcano plots, links genes to literature, pathways, and diseases, prioritizes candidates using millions of publications, identifies affected biological processes, builds network diagrams, and exports publication‐ready figures and reports for macOS and Windows ...

Some exact solutions for the rotational flow of Oldroyd-B fluid between two circular cylinders

open access: yesAdvances in Mechanical Engineering, 2017
In this article, an effort has been made to compute and inspect the rotational flow of Oldroyd-B fluid between two co-axial circular cylinders. As novelty, the rotation of both cylinders produces motion of the fluid.

INTEGRAL TRANSFORM WITH THE EXTENDED GENERALIZED MITTAG-LEFFLER FUNCTION

open access: yesMore Progresses in Analysis, 2006
he paper is devoted to the study of the integral transform containing the special function å((á, â) n ;z) generalizing the Mittag‐Leffler type function in the space £v,r (1 ≤ r ≤ 8, í ∈ R) of Lebesgue measurable functions on R+ = (0,+8) such that ‖ƒ‖ v,r < 8, where Mapping properties such as the boundedness, the range, the representation and the ...

Heterotropic regulation and negative homotropic cooperativity

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
We identified a structural module common to some proteins that couple negative cooperativity with heterotropic regulation, two features that rarely coexist. These proteins are ring‐like and present an ordered asymmetry whereby noncontacting subunits are symmetric, and their tertiary structure differs from that of contacting subunits.

Aging Is a Key Driver for Adult Acute Myeloid Leukemia

open access: yesAging and Cancer, EarlyView.
Acute myeloid leukemia (AML) is a classical age‐related hematologic malignancy, and a key driver of AML is aging, which profoundly regulates intrinsic factors such as genomic instability, epigenetic reprogramming, and metabolic dysregulation, and alters bone marrow microenvironment.

Long‐Term Follow‐Up of Chemotherapy‐Associated Biological Aging in Women With Early Breast Cancer

open access: yesAging and Cancer, EarlyView.
Women threated with adjuvant chemotherapy for early breast cancer have sustained long‐term increase in p16INK4a,, a robust marker of cell senescence, suggesting a chemotherapy‐associated age acceleration. p16INK4a as well as other biomarkers may identify patients at greatest risk for senescence‐related diseases of aging.
