A Parametric Model for Local Air Exchange Rate of Naturally Ventilated Barns
With an increasing number of naturally ventilated dairy barns (NVDBs), the emission of ammonia and greenhouse gases into the surrounding environment is expected to increase as well.

Biomolecular condensates formed by fused in sarcoma (FUS) are dissolved by high ATP concentrations yet persist in cells. Using a reconstituted system, we demonstrate that valosin‐containing protein (VCP), an AAA+ ATPase, counteracts ATP‐driven dissolution of FUS condensates through its D2 ATPase activity.

A variance shift model for detection of outliers in the linear mixed model
A variance shift outlier model (VSOM), previously used for detecting outliers in the linear model, is extended to the variance components model.

Prediction of spirometry outcome in Croatian patients with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease
The current study offers an extensive examination of the influence of 29 diverse parameters on spirometry measurement variables in a cohort of 534 patients with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) from five different centers in Croatia.

Diversity and complexity in neural organoids
Neural organoid research aims to expand genetic diversity on one side and increase tissue complexity on the other. Chimeroids integrate multiple donor genomes within single organoids. Self‐organising multi‐identity organoids, exogenous cell seeding, or enforced assembly of region‐specific organoids contribute to tissue complexity.

Stability conditions for a non-linear size-structured model [PDF]
In this paper we consider a general non-linear size-structured population dynamical model with size- and density-dependent fertility and mortality rates and with size-dependent growth rate. Based on M. Farkas (Appl. Math. Comput.

Quantum Generalized Linear Models
Generalized linear models (GLM) are link function based statistical models. Many supervised learning algorithms are extensions of GLMs and have link functions built into the algorithm to model different outcome distributions. There are two major drawbacks when using this approach in applications using real world datasets.

Plasma membranes contain dynamic nanoscale domains that organize lipids and receptors. Because viruses operate at similar scales, this architecture shapes early infection steps, including attachment, receptor engagement, and entry. Using influenza A virus and HIV‐1 as examples, we highlight how receptor nanoclusters, multivalent glycan interactions ...
