Development of a Positron Generator Dedicated to Materials Science Applications
AbstractPositron beams are getting increasing interest for materials science and for fundamental research. Recent progress on positron production using a compact electron accelerator made at CEA-IRFU for the GBAR experiment is providing new prospect for material analysis and non-destructive testing technology using positrons.

Keratin 19 (KRT19) is overexpressed in high‐grade serous ovarian cancer with high levels of Kallikrein‐related peptidases (KLK) 4–7 and is associated with poor survival. In vivo analyses demonstrate that elevated KRT19 increases peritoneal tumour burden.

High Resolution FIB as a General Materials Science Tool
Abstract Focused Ion Beam or FIB systems have been used in integrated circuit production for some time. The ability to combine rapid, precision focused ion beam sputtering or gas-assisted ion etching with focused ion beam deposition allows for rapid-prototyping of circuit modifications and failure analysis of defects even if they are ...

Somatic mutational landscape in von Hippel–Lindau familial hemangioblastoma
The causes of central nervous system (CNS) hemangioblastoma in Von Hippel–Lindau (vHL) disease are unclear. We used Whole Exome Sequencing (WES) on familial hemangioblastoma to investigate events that underlie tumor development. Our findings suggest that VHL loss creates a permissive environment for tumor formation, while additional alterations ...

Influence of ultraviolet radiation on polymethylmethacrylate (PMMA)
Polymethylmethacrylate (PMMA) was irradiated (360–811 h) in a UV-B accelerated aging chamber at room temperature and oxidizing atmosphere. The macromolecular changes attributed to the radiation were investigated by means of tests such as: traction test ...

CCDC80 suppresses high‐grade serous ovarian cancer migration via negative regulation of B7‐H3
PAX8 is a lineage‐specific master regulator of transcription in high‐grade serous ovarian cancer (HGSC) progression. We show for the first time that PAX8 facilitates proliferation and metastasis by repressing the cell autonomous tumor suppressor CCDC80 and inducing B7‐H3 expression.

Here, we demonstrate that HS1BP3 interacts with Cortactin through a proline‐rich region (PRR3.1) and show that this interaction, and HS1BP3 itself, promote cancer cell proliferation and invasion. Inhibition of this interaction leads to build‐up of TKS5 in multivesicular endosomes and altered secretion of CD63 and CD9, providing an explanation for the ...
